I have shopped here quite a few times now and have found the staff to be friendly and helpful - if asked a question they don't know, they find someone who can answer it. It is not a mega store but does still have a very good range of products.
This store has the biggest number of employees doing nothing I have ever seen in any store ever. It’s almost comical, the ratio of workers to customers must be 4 to 1. Every isle you see one or two employees standing around and having a conversation. Yet somehow, whenever you go to pay, there is a line and often no one behind the till. It’s like there is so many of them that they know someone else will eventually do the tiny bit of work there is. Honestly, you could get rid of half of the staff, if not more, and it would make no difference. This is a small Mitre 10, it doesn’t require 20+ employees standing around. At least have the till manned at all times so you don’t waste customer’s time.
Staff members are friendly, knowledgeable, attentive and very helpful. They go above and beyond to make sure that you have a great experience, even just for small items. The store carry lots of items despite its compact size. Parking can be challenging at times.

Conflicting pricing on kitchen sink plugs. 1 rack had the item as 6.78, the rack below listed the same item for $5.73. Took 2 items 2 the till and both came up at the higher price. I explained that I wanted to pay the lower amount, had to take the cashier to the aisle and show her the Conflicting pricing. Needless to say I paid the lower amount. I know it was only $2 but it's the principle and $2 is better in my pocket.
Friendly staff throughout this well stocked store who always go the extra mile. People seem happy in their work. Great service.
Great friendly staff. I went in looking for a couple of interior doors but i wasn't to sure on where they were. I found a really nice elderly employee and he directed me to the right area. He was really helpful in asking questions and even gave me some tips on fitting hinges etc to the new doors. A lot of Mitre 10 staff could learn a lot from this awesome guy.
The best hardware/home improvement store in the business! It’s always hard to look past Mitre 10. The staff are knowledgeable and helpful, and they’ll generally have a specialist in each area, ie. automotive, paint etc. I should also mention the pricing, which is about as competitive as you’ll get.
