They open at 8 am. I thought of buying some food for nearby cruise tours to islands. However, nothing is readied when they open (unlike other countries when supermarket opens, there is like fresh bread and meals ready for take away).

It is a small supermarket with very convenient transportation. However, we had an unpleasant experience at the checkout. Since my boyfriend and I bought a bottle of white wine, an Asian lady came to check our IDs. The first thing she asked was, “Are you mother and son?” After I said no, she continued to question our relationship. When I was about to show my boyfriend’s passport, she very rudely told me that she wanted his ID, not mine. I told her, “This is his ID.” What’s interesting is that throughout the whole process, she made us feel as if we had done something wrong. This was the most disrespectful service staff we encountered during our 11-day trip in New Zealand. The point is—my boyfriend is already 38 years old.

This is a smaller Woolworth store focusing on the smaller variety of items due to the busy and premium location. In spite of the smaller stock levels, the variety is well maintained and well displayed too. The aisles are wide and clean. The store layout is very intuitive and focuses on deli, quick bites and coffee. Self service check outs are available too with quick payment options. The location is easily accessible but parking is at a premium and very hard to find. Well recommended to get a quick bite or grab smaller items instead of a complete week or month full of shopping.

Woolworths Metro Albert Street, situated in the AMP Centre on Lower Albert Street in Auckland’s CBD, offers a modern and convenient supermarket experience tailored to busy city workers and residents. Open from 6 am to 7 pm on weekdays and from 8 am on weekends, the store caters to early risers and lunchtime shoppers with a well-curated selection of grab-and-go options like fresh salads, gourmet sandwiches, barista-made coffee, and kombucha on tap. The compact store is sleek and well-organised, with self-checkout kiosks and polished product displays that make quick shopping trips efficient and pleasant. While it doesn’t offer the same depth of range as full-sized supermarkets, the essentials are there, and the quality of ready-made meals and fresh produce often receives praise. Customers frequently commend the friendly and efficient staff, noting that it’s an ideal stop for lunch or top-up groceries during a busy day in the city. However, prices are typically higher than in suburban Woolworths stores, which is expected given the prime location and smaller footprint. Some shoppers also report limited stock at times and occasional concerns about security due to visible shoplifting incidents, though these issues don’t appear to detract significantly from the overall experience. For those living or working in Auckland’s city centre, Woolworths Metro Albert Street is a practical and polished solution for quick, quality grocery shopping with a touch of convenience and urban style.

This shop in Auckland CBD is convenient, offering a great selection of bakery items as well as meals like curry chicken, sandwiches, sushi, and salads. It’s my go-to spot for lunch when I need something quick. The store is always clean and well-presented, with a nice variety of products. While the prices can be a bit higher compared to other stores, they often have discounted items that add extra value. I have noticed that occasionally some products are out of stock.

You can grab the daily food ingredients quickly and the food is placed orderly. Yet, the store is quite small.

Around 7 am today, paid $3.40 500g Sunrise spreadable margarine. I am not impressed that the tag priced displayed $2.80 on the shelf. I raised the issue to the help desk and he was so professional he apologized cause the system didn't change. He needs to get a pay increase.

A big and modern supermarket, with everything you will expect. From groceries, cooked and uncooked food, and many other stuff with great varieties. With a lot of self-service checkout counters, so no queue for payment.

update: 07/11/2022 - 3/5 I’m trying to be more understanding at everyone situation right now but several times I ordered from the bakery and they gave me to wrong things, sometimes I asked for my sandwich to be toasted and they never really listened and I had to repeat my request.. 5/5 omg dad’s pie and chicken / beef sandwich all so delicious, they also have pretzel and lots of delicious ready to eat food, self checkout fast and easy, store clean and not a lot of selections but enough for the essentials.

Spacious new supermarket. Not as big as the one on Victoria Street but still has a range of items. Everything was very well presented. There are plenty of self checkouts. Since it's new and there is a lot of construction outside, it was very quiet and quick to get around.
