   Good restaurant and friend recommended. Sashimi was really good and fresh. Ordered sashimi platter and tuna over bowl. The platter supposed to come with a small dessert but didn’t receive. The restaurant is small and old, very hot inside and the ventilation is not good. No aircon, no windows just an d fan.

   It was $29 for the Salmon/Tuna Donburi box set and absolutely worth the value. Been here twice now and very happy both times with the quality and presentation of the food. The sashimi was very fresh - both on weekend and weekday. The free self-service miso soup was a nice touch. We even got complementary dessert which was a nice treat.

   The best little spot. Our favourite spot for the freshest fish, best selection and best value for money on sashimi. We always get a deluxe set each - and it’s consistently great each time. Kind workers and free miso soup too. Not a single complaint.

   We had sashimi, teriyaki chicken, Wagyu nigiri. The sashimi was fresh and well presented. Teriyaki chicken was good too. The Wagyu nigiri was average. The beef was chewy. Everything else was great and you can self serve miso soup too

   Ordered the Sashimi of Japan special Bento Box which contained Sashimi, eel on rice, and sukiyaki. All of the items were delicious, was especially impressed by the Sashimi as it was very fresh with tuna and salmon and the other fish had a well balanced sweet and fishy flavour which I've never experienced before. There is also free miso soup which is great! A little on the pricer side (38$) but this is one of the best tastes on dominion road/Auckland, glad I tried this and will be back!

   Asked for salmon sashimi but no other option than salmon sashimi donburi with no rice for $17. It came out with 6-7 small pieces of “sashimi”, very badly cut. We also ordered the $38 deluxe combo, sukiyaki and eel rice was okay. Once again, sashimi and nigiri were bad, very fishy, even for salmon. nigiri rice fall off as soon as I pick a piece up. With the name of the restaurant would expect somewhat decent sashimi but no! $27pp was absolutely rip off. The staff was nice but sorry the quality of food cant compensate that.

   The food is ok. Salmon had some fishy smell. But the rest were good. I think my regular sushi truck is better with their fresh salmon. Still, this restaurant worths 4 stars.

   Not impressed. Lunch comes with free miso soup. Lack of flavor. The unagi don was not bad, but the tendon was sad (small shrimp with lots of panko). Portion was small too. The best was the miso soup which reminded us of our time in Japan.
