We had a fantastic stay here. The lodge is right on the water, walking distance to the beach. Stunning views of the water from the second story. Our room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was delicious with lots of options. Stella and Jurgen were excellent hosts.
My husband and I felt like celebrities during our honeymoon stay at Edgewater. Stella and Jurgen were amazing hosts and served us gourmet breakfast each morning. The view from our room was gorgeous and the entire house was beautiful, with lots of attention to details. We enjoyed talking to our hosts each morning and getting suggestions for where we should explore that day. Edgewater is the perfect location for a romantic stay, just far enough away from downtown Wellington, a private little oasis.

Executive premium short stay lodge accommodation in Karaka bay village straight across the road from the coast. This well appointed property has four bedrooms with one of the bedrooms able to be separated with its own bathroom and entrance. The spacious open plan living features a large open fire and doors to a patio and wrap around deck. A hidden spa room on a higher level completes the amenities.
What a beautiful place to stay! The view alone is worth the visit but it was really the hospitality from Stella and her husband that made us feel like we were at home. The room was immaculate and the breakfasts were delicious. Highly recommended!
Was able to drive by here on our holiday. Wish we could have stayed. Was told this was where Peter Jackson used to living in Wellington.
Lovely views, nicely appointed but maybe getting a bit tired. Very comfortable and warm.
