Buyer beware! Wouldn't purchase items here. Go to the other dollar stores in town. Owner behaviour towards clients is appalling.
Friendly owners who are helpful, they have big sections of all sorts of things, ranging from all ages of toys for children, kitchen appliances, Homeware appliances as well, They also sell sunglasses and reading glasses as well. They also sell some clothes, their prices are very affordable and fair. Also now that I remember I also think they sell makeup products.
You can find cheap stuff in this store. They offer a lot of stuff. Not all of them are quite sturdy but it's good enough. They have buckets, canvas, cards, kitchen stuff, decors, phone accessories, hair clips and bonds, stickers. A lot more stuff.
They had a good variety of single use items, but now they are not open anymore and moved from Kilbirnie.
I know, I know, umbrellas and Wellington don't mix, but I bought a $12 one two weeks ago, used it for the first time last night in the soaking rain and it wasn't windy. One gust popped up and that short, wee blast of air alone destroyed it. Took it back today hoping for a replacement or refund but as expected, nope. So I left it there for them to dispose of as it's too big for my bin. My only issue with the counter guy is the massive language barrier, it seems a little odd to have your customer facing staff pretty much only know the word "no"...
Tried to call about stock and the server refused to check - kept telling me to come in, despite me explaining that I am sick at home. He then hung up on me - this is the first time I have left a negative review for any service - quite frustrating.
POOR Customer Service. Refusal to honour consumer guarantees act. I often grab things here as I have had no issues with the items and they guy behind the counter is very good. Unfortunately today this was not the case. I purchased a set of electronic screwdrivers that wouldn't work as intended. Quality issue. The metal shaft would break at the point where it joins with the handle. Prior to opening I also did not notice the 2x Phillips heads were already missing/broken from two others. When I explained that the tools were faulty, the owner was very rude, and blamed me for breaking the goods as the packet was open and would not provide a reasonable solution or refund. Please check your products well before opening them! Based on how the owner conducted themselves today I would not trust this operator and will not go back.
Had some of the things we wanted. Well worth a look.
