The staff were really knowledgeable and helpful towards our concerns while picking out a wine. They have a great selection, and helped us understand vegan wines.
NOT WELL STOCKED FOR BEER. So many times i've gone in and the shelves are almost empty in the chiller. These guys have been open a long time now surely they know what to stock and what to sell.
I sadly, did not have the best first experience visiting this store. The person behind the counter (the owner I believe) was very rude when I mentioned I liked a particular brand of wine and said “get out” in front of my friends and other people in the store. I won’t be visiting this store again. I have never experienced this kind of service before and think it’s appalling behaviour as a business owner. Do better!
Really well stocked and wide range of all spirits - whiskey, gin, vodka etc, craft beers and ciders. Friendly and helpful staff. Disappointing that they only sell a small range of mixers, mostly expensive. Totally happy to buy the high end spirits, but it's annoying they don't have a wider range of mixers, including cheaper ones. Give the customer a choice and stock both boutique and standard mixers please!
Best wine shop service I've had in a long time. Grace is fantastic. I wanted 24-bottles of a wine we've struggled to find in Akl. She offered to collect all available stock from the Glengarry Akl Branches and let me know when they arrived. Within a week she had them and we are thrilled. 100% went the extra mile, such an asset and I hope you are acknowledged for it. Good staff are hard to find!!
Went in on Sunday afternoon to spend a $150 gift voucher I’d been given. If not for the voucher, I would have walked out after the first exchange with the counter staff. Rude, and disinterested...but it got worse, far worse.I was seriously astounded at the attitude. The exchange was witnessed by other staff and customers. Two days on...I am still staggered at what happened . If you don’t like working in retail helping customers.... then suggest you find another job. Mangement at Glengarry, take a close look at your weekend staff. Appalling.
I bought special price liquors but price was normal. I asked staff but she replied ''special price already finished'' with legitimate firmness. So ashamed and she didn't do anything. 5pm 9th Dec the bottom floor
