First time in this theatre and I thought it was wonderful. It's a lovely building just walking up to it. Of course listening to the "Tami Neilson" live in concert with her talented band, the whole night was fantastic. Tami is the best and even more impressive in person especially her voice. I love her ❤️
This is the gem of Nelson. Full of history, very well managed, great shows and so brilliant to be able to read how from the 1800s Nelson folk have loved live theater. Break a leg!!!
Our first visit to a lovely oldish, but refurbished, theatre. We went to see The Dancing Queen Show, an ABBA tribute. Everything was good. Comfy seats, really aren't any bad seats in terms of view. Wine etc available at the bar at reasonable prices. We'll certainly keep an eye out for other events there.
Fabulous venue in keeping with it's era. Went to a great show- Elton vs Billy Duelling Pianos - Cam and Sam from Wellington. Great night out!
Great Nelson spot. Stage seems smaller than when I was a kid.
The Theatre Royal is a much-loved colonial treasure. Friendly volunteer ushers, great acoustics and some wonderful shows. I always enjoy my visits.
This is the diamond in the Crown of Nelson's entertainment world. This is a restored Victorian relic given up for dead in 2005 but rescued and lovingly restored.
Fantastic venue, the people were very helpful, everything was well labelled and flowed well. Venue was gorgeous and had amazing acoustics
Took the granddaughter to see Cinderella- the ballet. It was her first ballet show. For a small theatre, the event was managed very well, the show was brilliantly executed, and sets were skilfully done. The dancers were brilliant and the "stealing the show" award must go to the two step sisters! They did a great job, and bringing in a comedy perspective was a brilliant idea from the directors and script writers.
