   As black people from SA our type of hair is not really common in NZ for barber shops. Ever since I came to NZ I never really found the perfect barber shop for my boys until I came across these guys. Wow, amazing amazing amazing.! My boys look so clean and fresh after their hair cuts. Well done guys, great job indeed!!!!

   I've been a regular customer here for quite some time. On Sunday, I visited and waited for half an hour while the barber attended to the two people ahead of me. During this time, a third person arrived for a haircut. To my surprise, the barber then asked if I had a booking and suggested I come back later so he could serve the other person instead. I chose not to return.

3. When life gives you lemons make chicken soup ★★★★☆

   Ha e gone here since I was a kid, it provides pretty good hair cuts for a average price. Sometimes there is a lot long wait, I have personally waited for 4+ hours before but that is also a credit to their quality that, that many people wanted to come. Sometimes they have a new person in usually in the furthest right chair, they are not normally near as good as rhe other to barbers closer to the left hand side of the building.

   I am writing this review after my 4th visit to Alan’s Barber and I have to say this is the best Barber shop in South Auckland. Every cut is done with patience and care. Both Barbers are great and take pride in the work they do. They are also great with little kids. After trying so many other Barbershops which were really average I am glad I have found this shop. Highly recommend this shop to all.

   Sahir, the owner cuts my hair with perfection everytime. Even uses the old style razor around my sidebars and neck. Making an appointment is a must if you dont have time to wait.

   Lipo had cut my sons hair for 3 years before we moved out of Auckland. Highly recommend Alan's and especially Lipo. Immaculate cuts, great with kids and professional service. We definitely miss Lipo's cuts and haven't found a barber that compares yet.
