Oh no ! Worst trail to pull up too...on the drive to the location, rubbish dumped everywhere. Couple dead swan which i assume is because of all the rubbish... we did not do that walk.
So many birds! We visited for a few hours after lunchtime and photographed many birds that were new to me. Favorites included the NZ plover, pied cormorant, and variable oystercatcher.
Beautiful scenery, adorable swan. A serene and cozy place. Good for an easy walk.
Very beautiful walks but long as! We've repeatedly gotten lost on the tracks as there is very confusing signage and indistinct paths that turn out to be dead-ends (e.g Puketutu Island, access from Ambury Park, etc). Still worth giving it a shot if you plan your route carefully though. We have even brought the bikes which was a rewarding experience.
Peaceful walk with Ducks, Geese in the water to watch. Just needs a path on one side for safety
Such a beautiful area but the road leading to Puketutu island is disgusting and full of rubbish.
A short coastal walk along this seperate island place which can be reached by driving.
