Liz was fantastic β€” she shared a lot of really interesting information in a very dynamic and entertaining way. She took us to beautiful places in Auckland that we wouldn’t have discovered otherwise. I think it’s a must-do! Thank you, Liz!

Darcy did a great job on the walking tour. Kept us moving through the CBD highlighting significant buildings, adding history in a light and entertaining way. I would thoroughly recommend this tour.

We had an amazing time on this walking tour! The route is well-planned, offering a perfect mix of historical insights, local culture, and insightful gems we would’ve never discovered on our own. Our guide, Darcy was exceptional β€” friendly, knowledgeable, funny and passionate about what he does. He really brought the stories to life with engaging commentary and made sure everyone felt included. It was the highlight of our day, getting to know amazing nuggets of information across various topics, piquing a lot of interest and we’d like to do a more thorough one again some day. We’d absolutely recommend it to anyone wanting a wholesome informative connection to the city. It’s an easy walk too, well paced and suitable for most. Don’t miss it!

100% recommend the free walking tour if you are a tourist or a resident! As an NZ Citizen and resident in Auckland for 8 years I learnt SO MUCH and got to see so many things you never normally pay attention to. I feel awful I’ve forgotten our tour guides name, I think it was Anna, lovely Egyptian lady. She was so welcoming and extremely knowledgeable. It was awesome.

Our guide, Catherine, was great. Knowledgeable and engaging. She kept us interested with a wide slice of NZ history, local folklore, great tips for other activities and really opened up an Auckland we had totally missed on our own. Great pace and content. Thanks!!!!

We have both done free walking tours in many cities around the world & like those, this tour gave great orientation & excellent information for first-timers in Auckland. However we found our guide Darcy to be brash, sarcastic & self-important. The way he chose to answer some questions was very dismissive & off-putting.

I love to come to Auckland and do the free walks. The Heritage foreshore is my favorite until now. I highly recommend.

Awesome tour! Darcy is incredibly knowledgeable and fun to spend a morning with. Would also highly recommend his bar tour. It’s great for beer tasting, but at the heart it’s a historic evening walking tour with cool sights and stories. 10/10!
