The manager, I have forgotten her name now!! She helped me with selling my things to her and she gave me a lot of information, with the ins and outs which is what I needed otherwise I would never have known! Thank you so much! Saved me a lot of time and hassle!

I dropped some items to Tattys on Ponsonby road. A pair of heels was sent to the small Tattys to be sold there as they were designer. At that store they only have one shoe on display, the other is kept in a cupboard. When I went to collect my shoes they were ‘gone’ (they hadn’t been sold). They suggested maybe they were shop lifted - however this isn’t possible if only one shoe is on display. I have asked them to follow up and they said they’d check cameras but I am still to hear anything and it’s now been around 8 weeks. I understand items can be shop lifted but a single shoe would not have been taken and the matching shoe disappear from the storage. Please keep this in mind if wanting to sell designer shoes with them.

Since the new $50 selling fee, I've sold 4 items, and I'm still -$10 in debt with Tatty's. The fee is greedy and unreasonable for those who want to sell with Tatty's. It's exclusionary, as it only works for the sellers with high-end designer wear that will sell for hundreds. It's just really disapointing tbh!

Really disappointed with the new $48 annual fee to consign. Not only is tatty’s already one of the least value places to sell clothes (they keep 55% profits vs Recycle Boutique’s 50%, vs 10% designer wardrobe and 7.8% trade me) now they charge a substantial fee, to “encourage more frequent consignments”. I won’t be returning to consign at Tatty’s so that’s how well that works.

Staff are horrible. Deliberately having loud conversations about how gross it is that women wear leggings within earshot of my partner who just had a baby and was wearing leggings while shopping for clothes to go back to work. Very unprofessional and immature. This was on Tuesday 22nd August 2023 just before 5pm.

*Their staffs hide sellers items they like in the warehouse, without displaying in the store until half price.* We went to see a bag but not in the shop, so went to little tattys again few days ago. Me: we saw a bag online but not in the store, want to see what it’s look like. Man: oh it never arrived, let’s call our warehouse. (Calling) Man: our warehouse staff said, one of our staff on hold for that bag, our staff normally can hold for five days. She been naughty. Me: well isnt it already four weeks, it’s now half price. Man: I will ask her if she still want it, or will return to the store by tomorrow. Me: I can buy it online, but it might upset her? Man: I am sure it’s fine, she knows how we proceed. When I went to back to my car, added that bag in cart(still half price), tried to load my credit card in, the price went back to original! He manually adjusted the price!! He want to make sure it sold to his colleague instead of me!! Within two hours that listings was withdrawn!! *their staffs help each other hide items until half price, without displaying in the shop. So buy it discount on top of staff discount like buying McDonald’s. *we customers are not stupid blind, we already saw its half price. From their past feedback included this experience, they cheated owner cheated buyers cheated sellers, feels like it already is their culture. Disgusting scammers. Their staffs are their priority customers!!!

Disgraceful customer service. Firstly, they wouldn't hold my expiring items for two days so I could collect them on the weekend. I was told if I didn't come in on time I would not be allowed to have my items back and they would keep them. So I rushed there in peak hour traffic to collect everything. They lost one of my items. The staff didn't apologise or show any concern that my dress my missing. They said it might have been sent to another shop by mistake. I was told that if they found it I would have to come all the way back again to collect it (I asked if they could post it to me, they said no, despite this being their mistake). I got in contact with management via email, who say that if my dress isn't found, they will not compensate me for it. They claim it says in their terms and conditions that they don't compensate for theft. Firstly, this was not pointed out to me. I was told to enter my personal details and sign on an iPad. I was not shown any terms and conditions. Secondly, the girl at the shop thought it might have been sent to another shop by mistake, i.e. not theft, Tattys own mistake. If my dress is not found and Tattys refuse to compensate me for it, I will be taking this further. You cannot lie and claim something was stolen, when it may have been your own fault in misplacing it, and you also cannot rely on a term that you did not bring to your customers attention. And if it was stolen, why have you not even apologised? Perhaps your staff need to pay more attention to what is happening in the store and look after their customers property, rather than simply write things off as "stolen". Very poor service all around, no apology, and very unhelpful. I would not use them again, or recommend them. Go somewhere more professional like Recycle Boutique.

I work just up the road from the store and pip in every couple of weeks on my lunch break. Not once has a staff member smiled, said hi or acknowledged me any time I've visited, even when by themselves putting things away. Today I also witnessed two of the staff in the corner whispering about another member of their team. Perhaps spend less time gossiping and more time checking if customers would like any assistancewhile browsing or in the changing rooms

Recently had my first time shopping at Tatty's and as a local I can't believe what I've been missing out on! Beautiful second-hand clothing, great atmosphere and the staff are superstars. I came in looking for an outfit that for an event I am attending this weekend and I was provided with such outstanding customer service. I forgot to ask her name but the young lady with the facial piercings helped me find some absolutely stunning options, the store was quite busy and I was extremely grateful that she took the time to give me a hand and provide such lovely conversation. I will be back soon to shop and drop off some of my clothes, thank you for the new treasures!
