   Been to For King & Country concert tonight. Was getting an UBER ($15) only to be approached by this driver. I told him I wasn’t interested numerous times due to cost and walked away. 10 mins later he offers to take me and match the price. I get in and notice the meter going. He’s proceeding to tell me a fob story and $15 is $40 to over $84. I was 15 mins from my hotel and he’s going a different route, over the bridge and on the motorway. Disgusting. I’ll be ringing in the morning too.

   I wish I read the reviews first!! $94 to go from the Museum of War to my motel in the City (Avani Residences), 5 minute trip. Absolute scam, uber indicates the trip should be around $12. Buyer beware, do not use this service and especially a cab with plate number NNK239. Just awful for day one experience in New Zealand. They need to be regulated.

   BEWARE of AUCKLAND BLACK CABS! DO NOT HIRE ONE OF THEIR TAXIS! Got charged a huge $87.60 for a 20km ride from the airport to Pakuranga around half past midnight last April 23, 2016. I normally pay just around $50 using another taxi company for the same journey. The taxi driver is a crook, attempted to drive me around thinking I'm not familiar with the destination and the route. Another thing that bugged me is he's always holding the handbrake as if he's pressing something. To speed up the taxi meter maybe? Based on his accent and looks, I'd say he's Indian.

   Bikram from Auckland Black Cabs charged me $98 for a taxi ride that would cost $56 with another company. He also lent in front of the meter so I couldn't see how much the fare actually was. DO NOT TAKE Auckland Black Cabs

   Auckland Black Cabs are completely unregulated. I got charge $97 at 12.50AM from Auckland Airport to Auckland City on October 20. The Same ride on the way back, from a different cab company, but still on the meter was $26. I would not recommend this Company to ANYONE

   I would ask why Cab # 5073, an Indian Driver, in a Sikh Turban, so easily identified by his Management at Black Cabs,charged us NZ$92.60 Auckland Airport to Auckland City,by a roundabout Route, at 1.30pm 3rd January 2015? Black Cabs,I'd like a $30 Refund,after we paid NZ$65 for the Return to the Airport a week later.....And FIRE this Thief.

   Most expensive taxi company ever? They charged me 68 NZD for a 14 km ride from Auckland airport. See also the NZ herald article "$198 airport taxi: Taken for a ride" which shows more such cases.
