Service is good, but I bought a big of rice which I believe not worth the price and not fresh. Should more focus on the quality
Such an amazing place :) The owner is nice and friendly. I love going there I can find almost everything I'm looking for. The only downside for me is that the Japanese products are limited
The amount of brands of stuff there is mind-boggling. Loved the red bean paste buns.
Absolutely delicious range of ingredients treats and snacks & friendly and knowledgeable staff & reasonable prices. Highly recommend checking this place out. I was even able to find tinned Thai tea here which honestly made my day. They have a very large variety of pickled and dried stuff including MANY kinds of mushrooms and a frozen section which includes Durian, fish, vegetables ice-cream and more
If you are looking for a cheap Asian Food. This place is quite cheaper (not all though) but I prefer here. Unfortunately at the moment some of their product are out of stock. Still a nice place to shop if you're around Newtown.
Prices are as in the other Asian shops. Products are good in variety and he has a dated items shelf so at least he doesn't throw things. He was alright, not the friendliest but this is normal for customer service IN Asia (not the touristic places)
Deceptive Pricing. I pass by this store and decide to go in to have a look. Bought a packet of curry paste (amongst other items) tagged at $3.59 but receipt showed $4.59 on checkout. Queried with the manager, who simply says the price is right. So, I went to the shelf and ask him to look at the price tag, which show $3.59. The manager points to a couple of tags on the left (different brand products) which says $4.50 and then says 'you see, there is price rise". Unbelievable! What does other tags have to do with this particular product price tag? You cannot blindside the customer with a higher price at checkout. Anyway, I did not make a fuss and just exchange the curry paste to a different branded product which actually has a $4.59 tag. His other stuff are quite expensive too. Won't be going there again.
Good price, generally cheaper than orher Asian food supermarket. And nice shop owners.
