The Co-op Taxi service has been a mixed bag for us. My father has a Total Mobility card that gives him subsidy, and he goes to the same place, same time, same day every week. Despite that, one driver refused to accept his Total Mobility card and said "he can use it next time, but not this time!" Weβve been using the service for the past 4β5 weeks, and unfortunately this isnβt the only issue. Weβve had bookings that simply never showed up, and in some cases drivers took an unnecessarily long route when a shorter one was available and previously used. This is disappointing and concerning, especially for people who rely on the service for regular medical appointments. Consistency and proper recognition of mobility cards should be the bare minimum. Experiences like this make it hard to trust the service.

Had a rather rude experience with one of the taxi drivers today coming from the hospital. I have a total mobility card but had left it behind in my hotel. I have delt with this before with another driver who knew I had one as I had used it before. I have Multiple Sclerosis and was unable to walk up the hill to my hotel due to my leg muscle and swelling. The drivers attitude that he gave me about having to drive a short distance and then having a go at me in the hotel car park calling me a liar because I forgot my card, was appalling. The drivers need to have better customer service and not abuse paying customers and realize how total mobility works, for one and two they're still getting paid for that job. Wouldn't recommend this company to anyone with a disability.

We booked with this outfit and I regret it! I gave Auckland Coop one star ONLY so I could post a review. We requested a van for 9 people which included young children and grandchildren returning to Auckland from Melbourne. Arriving in Auckland at 1am. We had already received a confirmation and job number prior to leavng Melbourne. On arrival we received a call from the driver to advise us that he is outside waiting. We confirmed that we were a group of 9. Immediately, not during the call but as soon as we ended the call, I received a job cancellation by text. I called the driver back who said that he was not aware that we required a van and to call the office. I asked him what does his job sheet say? No answer. I received a text from the driver again to call the office. I called the office and explained the situation. The lady who I was talking to at 1am in the morning said its because I booked online and thats why there is a misunderstanding. I advised her immediately that my booking was over the phone and based on our transportation requirements this was accepted by your company and I was issued a reference number. After an awkward pause (For her) she said she would organize transportation immediately. 10 mins later she called to advise that she was unable to provide transportation and that her professional recommendation was that we take our luggage to the drop off or pick up zone to see if there were any Auckland Coop Taxis waiting and that there was nothing more she could do. Auckland Coop you are unreliable! Your service is sub par. Offering services that you could not deliver. If you are traveling to NZ or in our case returning home during the early hours, I would suggest using another company who are able to first of all determine availability, and are able to provide the service requested and agreed upon. Auckland Coop Taxi, It would have made sense that you advise me during my initial call that you were unable to provide service and not accept my request. This would have allowed me to book with another company prior to returning home to NZ. Auckland Coop Taxi our experience with you has been negative. At least we now know who not to use. The way you, Auckland Coop Taxis managed this situation felt to me that this is business as usual for your company. No urgency, no empathy and no attempt to think outside the box. NZ, there are plenty of transport companies that are reliable. I would suggest reaching out to them.

Absolutely useless service! Booked two vans over a week out to collect my bridal party from my wedding - called to confirm over an hour beforehand to be told we would be getting 5 cars instead, which was fine. 30mins before collection time (at 11 30pm) a voicemail was left telling us they never should have taken the booking and no one was coming LEAVING THE BRIDE STRANDED!!! If you are unable to provide a service that is both pre-booked and the re-confirmed, whatβs the point??? If you want a reliable service and to not be left stranded go somewhere else!

Auckland co op continues to set such a low bar on their quality of service. Placed a taxi order at 3.06 pm and I understand from the driver who was allotted d the job only at 4 pm, made 3 calls to the taxi company to find out the status and was given misleading information about the taxi's proximity to the hospital (point to be picked up). The drivers have to face the customers ire when the fact is that the company has poor systems and services and seems to do very little about it.

Never use this company. I booked a wheelchair taxi for my 84yo father to be collected after a hospital appointment. The taxi was 1 hour and 27 minutes late. Because my father is in a wheelchair we had no other options for transporting him home. If there was an option to post zero stars, that would be my rating.

Terrible. Booked online twice now and no-show. When Driver finally arrives 25 mins later (after calling and being told a Driver was at the end of my street), the driver then assured me he could get from glendowie to Auckland airport in 35 mins on a friday rush hour. It took just over an hour and I nearly missed bag drop. Shocking service and rating at 1* as it's now more than once. You cannot rely on them.

Auckland co-op taxis, driver's can be a hit or miss customer service wise. The one's that give me awesome customer service, obviously I will book them for future business. Consistency across the board would be great, as well as trusting that you customer you've picked up isn't going to jump the cab for a free ride. Unlike one cabbie 50 Garry, I experienced, last Friday night 21.05.2023 who even checked my company chit card had sufficient funds on it before leaving for my destination and no apology afterwards.

The review asked if I'd used this service and technically I had considering id booked and called for two vans for a post wedding transport. Turns out after having called the number and having asked specifically if the taxi will arrive that they will. I called them at the allotted time and they told me that they cannot guarantee it. Absolutely fuming that they straight up lied to me. They even admitted that they lied to me. Do not recommend using this company in any way shape or form. Very disappointed.

We had booked a taxi for 5.30pm pickup all confirmed. No show and at 5.45pm when we called, they said they would try and get a taxi for us but could give no time for it's arrival. Simply not good enough. Rubbish service that we won't be using again. Given this service, it is easy to see why services like Uber are such a success
