Came here to guest train on holiday. The room was so nice. A lot of high level people but all very friendly and aware of their abilities. Feels like a safe place to train:) Pat the instructor is an awesome guy. Very knowledgeable and has good application in teaching. Would love to come back. Tnaks guys
Very tough guys train here. Big on leg locks. Some of Wellington's most fearsome competitors. Great gym with a very laid back atmosphere and impressive skills. Come here if you want to learn from the best grapplers in the region.
Some of the most in depth and well applied classes I've ever had. Thoroughly enjoyed my few days here. Coaches and team are unbelievably welcoming and made it feel so easy to get in some extra training and rolls whilst in Wellington on holiday. Some fantastic people here! Cannot recommend enough if you're around for a few days or looking at picking BJJ.
Visited Wellington for a few weeks and decided to come here because of their free classes for visitors. Pat and Amy were great and made me feel super welcome on their mats even offering me some loaner Gis as I only came with no gi gear. The gym was clean and spacious allowing everyone to roll all at the same time. Showers and changing rooms were also available. Classes were efficient and there was an overall friendly vibe amongst the people there. They really make you feel like you're training back at your home gym. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to try out Jiu-jitsu in Wellington either as a first timer or an experienced practicioner. Will definitely be back.
I visited here whilst I was on holiday in NZ and it was an amazing place to train! Everyone was really welcoming and friendly, the teaching was really engaging and based on practical exploration of the techniques which I really enjoyed. To top it all off, the black belt taking the session was really friendly and relaxed and even asked if I had some time to roll after the end of the class as he hadn't had a chance to roll with me which was really nice. Honestly, one of the best places I have trained BJJ and I am sad not to be able to practice there everyday!
Pat, Amy and all the gang couldn't have been more welcoming when I was looking for a drop-in class during a recent backpacking trip. Really cool 'brainstorming' class style and they're all very technical in their approach to BJJ. Definitely a gym worth checking out!
Best Gym in Wellington. Amy & Pat are amazing. Extremely Friendly and lovely. The level of BJJ is outstanding, wealth of knowledge in the gym, Caters for all levels, nuts and bolts is awesome for someone looking to start their BJJ journey.
Amazing place to start your Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Journey. Pat and Amy are absolutely wonderful teachers and have been tremendous guides to my BJJ journey. It is super refreshing when you know your instructors are not only supporting your growth and development in the Martial Art but your growth as person as well. If you've ever really wanted to learn a tough but practical martial art. Workshop Jiu Jitsu is for you. Nothing is more fun than learning a super power with friends.
