   The most amazing lifetime experience we’ve ever experienced! We can’t thank World Journeys NZ enough for organising the most memorable trip in Tanzania Africa; Tarangire, Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti Parks. Every single aspect of this 6 night tour had been brillantly sorted and we were “in want”for absolutely nothing! The quality of our amazing guide and being in coordination with Wild Frontier, Tanzania, while we were there provided us with more than 100% service. Nothing could be faulted and we were treated like royalty! Spoilt with spectacular and stunning scenery, wildlife, people and knowledge! What a trip!! Everyone involved in the organising of this package deal need to be highly recommended! There are not enough adjectives in the dictionary to express our extreme satisfaction or gratification! Our hearts hold Tanzania, its people, its wildlife and this spectacular safari, in a very special place forever!!

   We recently completed the Silk Road/5 Stans trip. What an intrepid adventure it was! Our host Russell Hoban was outstanding and kept our diverse group of sixteen on track with the help of local guides in each country.We experienced wonderful scenery and fabulous buildings and lots of history. Hotels ranged from the amazing Ritz Carlton in Almaty to simple guest houses. Food was fresh and plentiful and we so enjoyed the new concept of eating in local restaurants chosen by the guides daily. The daily information Russell gave us was invaluable. He deserves a medal for getting us all home in one piece!. Many thanks to all involved with this trip as sometimes plans needed to be amended as we travelled.

   I just returned from a bucket list trip to South America and Antarctica through World Journeys, and I cannot thank them enough for the amazing experience. I love travelling and typically book my own travel. Iwas a bit reticent to have a travel agent, but I found the process easy, stress-free and Chris was on top of all the changes with flights, accomodations, and Visa requirements. He was highly communicative and set my mind at ease. He also gave great advice when it came to different options when planning my trip including several ideas I hadn't thought about and ended up taking. He listened and gave me the best value for my budget without pushing it. He found great accomodation that fit my budget and were in great locations. The guides on the ground in Rio, Iguazu, and Buenos Aires were fantastic and gave me a very personal experience. He was also able to find the right cruise for me to visit Antarctica and was able to secure upgrades right when they became available, allowing me to not have to keep up with developments with the cruise, as well as alert me to key requirements for the cruise as they became available. I was genuinely surprised with how easy everything was. I am not used to having someone waiting for me at the airport, and I admit it took a lot of stress finding the right cab. It is a small thing, but it absolutely set a great impression for the city. I would highly recommend World Journeys to anyone who doesn't want to plan their whole trip, and want a more personal experience in your travel location.

   We have previously used World Journeys to curate some personalized itineraries to Cambodia and also to Vietnam. This time, pre-COVID, we set up a pre-retirement 6 week exploration of Peru, Bolivia and Ecuador, ending in the Galapagos. Despite the challenges of lockdown, the company was able to preserve our non-refundable deposit, worked some magic with their suppliers in South America and ensured that our bucket list trip (now post retirement), amended slightly due to the instability in Peru, went ahead smoothly and without any hitches. We asked for, and received a wonderful standard of hotels, lodges and guides throughout the trip, saw incredible landscapes and experienced the wonderful culture and history of Latin America up close and in some style. The adventure culminated in an amazing 12 days cruising around the Galapagos on a small ship, taking in all the amazing wildlife above and below the water. World Journeys, and their partners, really did come through for us, ironed out any little hiccups along the way caused by in-flight diversions due to weather, or rain-induced landslides on major highways and made sure that we achieved everything on the program. I cannot fault the professional and personal service we received, from the planning of the itinerary, to it's execution once in South America, and have every intention of using World Journeys again on our next adventure.

   We booked an Africa trip with WJ for July 2020. Of course Covid caused it to be cancelled. WJ rolled over the tour till 2021 and then 2022. We tried to transfer our deposit to a tour in Iceland, but no. No flexibility. We had to do what we had previously booked. When it was obvious the world was opening again WJ approached us to travel in 2023. All good, however we were quoted a large increase in the cost with no guarantee as to what the final cost would be in 2023! They also wanted more deposit than that they had had since 2019! Our travel agent refused as he couldn’t even book the internal flights at that stage. All WJ would say is claim on your insurance, however we all know that as soon as Covid was classed a pandemic all travel insurance was void. And we couldn’t transfer the insurance to another trip until we had dates. WJ has been completely inflexible and unlike most other companies refuse to refund any of our deposit. Now they have blocked me on Facebook! I had been following them but am not now and can’t ‘like’ the page. I’d be very weary of this company!

   We have used World Journeys for a number of travels - several times in South America and last year to India and this year to Mediterranean Europe and the Balkans. All was excellent - the hotels, itinerary and guides we had in India were all brilliant and it was not overly expensive. I very informative trip well organised by a team who know their clients requirements. This year in Europe and especially in the Balkans we received the same top shelf service. The World Journeys team are excellent in understanding the foibles of their clients and putting together a tour that suits the requirements. World Journeys are highly recommended.
