   The food and atmosphere is great, but I can only give 3 stars because the customer experience as a local customer ordering and picking up in person is very poor. Tonight when ordering take out I had to pay by bank transfer because the Gorgeous payment terminal had run out of batteries, and then I had to wait 1 hour for my order to be cooked while multiple Uber eats deliveries were served in no time. I hope Ubers aren’t prioritised over locals who have turned up in person?

   Seriously the best pizza in Auckland! The staff are always so friendly and the atmosphere lovely. We love their gorgeous pizzas so much we had to share them with our friends and family at our wedding! Wayne was a dream to work with to cater our celebration and so many great comments from guests.

   A spontaneous adventure lead us to Gorgeous Pizza [GP]. GP is a rustic, hole in the wall-esque pizza, pasta and bar spot. Upon entry, the man Wayne greeted us with kindness and an eagerness to share the menu. I felt invited to come and dine not at a restaurant, but rather a place of community and good environment. The Lucy and Kirsten were excellent choices for pizza, and despite there different styles, complimented one another. Wayne, using his expertise on food and drink pairings suggested a rosé that perfectly complimented our pizzas. Finally our experience was finished with a good ‘ole New York style cheesecake, which was absolutely delicious. What made GP stand out was the atmosphere that it brought. I think if you are looking for a place to go to on a date, or a catch up with good friends, this is the place to be!

   Been wanting to go for ages, finally went yesterday and loved it :) The Arancini Squares were INCREDIBLE - didn't know they could be so delicious. Combined with their wonderful homemade pesto, it's an absolute show-stealer to start off with! And I generally don't even care for pesto but this one was so uniquely flavourful. The "Lucy" pizza was exactly what I'd hoped for when I read the description/ingredients - it's the best of what they could be. Balanced flavours, everything enjoyable. The Meatball Spaghetti was great, too, absolutely packed with tens of mini meatballs that were yum. The lady who served us was lovely and did everything she could to make my little occasion as special as possible - thank you :) hope y'all have a super holiday season! Can't wait to return and try all the other pizzas, especially when there's live music perhaps :)

   I chanced on this restaurant once with a mate and instantly thought this is the place I would take someone very special. It took 2 years to meet her and I took her for a lovely dinner here on our first date. Both of us were nervous but the welcoming atmosphere and super friendly service immediately put us both at ease. It was a night to remember and now we celebrate that night every year by going back (also the food is insanely delicious). On our 1st anniversary we kicked off a fantastic evening, which led to my proposal! Thank you so much Wayne, for kick starting the rest of my life the best way possible. We'll see you next year!

   Oh man. This pizza was soooo good. The minute we walked in the door I could tell it was going to be good, because when we were tossing up between small or large the chef said "get a large, it's pizza!" And you could tell he had love for the food he creates. And man these pizzas were made with love. The ingredients were all properly placed and spaced out so every piece had a bit of everything, every bite had maximum flavour. The tomato paste on the base was rich and full of flavour so even the bites of the crust with the last bits of sauce were delicious. Pictures speak a thousand words and these pics say it all. Lives up to its name - just gorgeous pizza. Easy 5/5 can't wait to go back. We had the Lucy and the Scarlett (with added olive and artichoke)

   Absolutely love this place. Wayne is such a great host, always makes you feel welcome. The arincini is always perfect, the pizzas are great, and the cheesecake is divine. Everything is homemade, you can't go wrong!

   Fantastic! Pizzas were delicious, so much flavour. We did the full 3 courses as there's so much we wanted to try. Rolled out of there but was totally worth it. Really cozy and relaxed atmosphere with the friendliest service to match. We will be back, highly recommend for a chilled dinner or takeaway. Bring friends so you can try more of the pizzas!
