Super solid gym everyone is super nice the coaches are very involved and extremely experienced. The weight room and the mats are super spacious and high quality 10/10 experience
i started doing the 20wk ALTA course and now il be signing up to the gym once i finish in 9wks. everyones welcoming, dont regret it one bit
My favorite boxing place in Wellington! The coaches and training partners are the best—supportive, skilled, and encouraging. The gym has a really peaceful and welcoming atmosphere, which makes training enjoyable. I love that it’s open 24/7 and offers multiple class times to suit any schedule. You’ll also find many advanced boxers here, which makes the training really inspiring.
Training here saved my life when I was assaulted by an armed mob. I was in shock but the muscle memory caused me to dodge the rod being swung at my head and I kept moving until my brain finally registered what was happening. The violence was completely out of the blue. It has been many years since I trained at MTI and several years since it happened. I still think about it often and wanted to at least try to put this into words. Nothing anybody tells you can prepare you for how sudden violence is, your body needs to learn how to react because your brain will freeze.
Cannot recommend this gym highly enough ! A great bunch of people and awesome coaches with a wealth of knowledge and passion for the sport. This place is guaranteed to improve your fitness 10-fold as well as make you love Muay Thai ! Will miss this place and these awesome people.
So glad I joined this gym years ago. Mark and the team are friendly and have a wealth of knowledge. They are always supportive of the goals - whether you want to fight or improve your fitness. I highly recommend doing a session to see for yourself.
The best muay thai gym in Wellington. Caters to all levels from beginners (and those just wanting exercise), right through to experienced competitors and fighters. Highly recommend!
Been training for approximately 16 months at MTI - and I have built great rapport with the coaches and students, the instructors are an awesome bunch who invest time and effort into improving your skills.
I have been going to MTI since the very beginning of this year. What can I say? It is a great gym. All of the trainers are very patient, who deliver comedic banter, but also hold a real desire to improve their students abilities. Fitness is something a consistent student will almost guarantee get, and the opportunity to make friends with likeminded individuals. 5 Stars from me.
