How refreshing to have Courtney as our Collins plumber. We have used Collins in the past and they have always provided outstanding service. Having a female plumber arrive at our door was unique. Very impressed. Even though my plumbing knowledge is limited, you can tell the difference between a non-experienced and experienced job. The service was outstanding and the job was completed efficiently with the highest degree of professionalism. Matt came out to our address to remedy a damaged pipes behind an internal wall caused by rats. He was also the one who came out on a Sunday morning to carry out emergency plumbing. The "specialist" service agent who came out, didn't know what the fault was, spent most of the time reading a manual (which I happened to have on hand, what would you have done if I didn't?) and called Stiebel to find out more information. He did not offer a solution or communicate any of his findings to me, furthermore all I received was an emailed quote for a new Stiebel HWC replacement, which I already told the guy I WAS NOT GOING TO BUY. You were referred to me as a specialist service agent from Steibel but I did not get any specialist advice. You've billed me for "time on site" i.e. reading a manual and calling Stiebel, did not communicate at all the unit wasn't fixable and sent me a quote a few days later for something I already advised I wasn't going to buy. Your customer service is lacking and furthermore you lost the opportunity to supply me a suitable HWC which would have been far more beneficial to your company. I wasted time waiting and without hot water due to your lack of communication.
Did a large hydronic retrofit of a gas boiler powered underfloor system. The second day they started at 7am and worked without a break until the new system was fully commissioned at 7pm. Lots of attention to detail, no corners cut, first class work that they clearly took a lot of pride in. Absolutely recommend.
We have a quite complex home heating and cooling system installed by Collins. The team has always been extremely responsive whenever we have needed any service or assistance. This is involved the owner, Simon Collins, personally coming out to make sure everything is resolved to our full satisfaction. We have always been very impressed with their service and have no hesitation in recommending Collins Plumbing & Gas Ltd.
Having built a 650sqm German style house, Collins did all pipe works- storm water, fresh water from public and tank water, gas pipes, floor and portable water heating in 400ltr + 700ltr tanks (Simon was well versed with Bosch and shifted us to Stiebel which was better able to handle the combined solar water heating and compressor which captures differentials up to -19*C due to the job well done we agreed to use our as Collins showcase, finding this structure hardly in NZ hot water ring pipe connecting alternating the pool to the floor heating system which is not used in summer all garden drainage system and for safety one guest room on gas heater. All out of one hand was certainly the best solution, having the disciplines cooperating with each other, from our experience we only recommend Collins with a good planning and well done execution.
