Staff member unhelpful, very rude owner/manager with a terrible attitude (and looks like I’m not the only one to encounter this!). Apparently only cover warranty for 90 days! So beware buying toys from here. Doesn’t stack up with consumer guarantees act for NZ. Will be raising further.
Don't pay the Wellington toyworld tax, buy online or shop elsewhere. The owner hikes his prices compared to other toyworlds adding up to 30% to the retail prices. Hard to support a local business when they're ripping off their customers

Wow, looks this is not unusual review, very rude attitude from manager/owner, treated me as if I was stealing before actually checking with the staff. Very rude. Plus the shop has no refund policy and expensive prices, definitely regret spent my kids Xmas money at this un respectful business. Warehouse way cheaper and better service than this “premium” shop.

The manager or supervisor here whoever she is, is EXTREMELY RUDE, and unprofessional she was wearing some random Disney shirt I didn’t even know she was a manager, me and two friends were chased out of the store, after we were just looking at some soft toys, such a terrible experience and random boxes all over floor so poorly kept, was planing on buying some new Lego sets but will be taking my business somewhere else as I couldn’t even get to the legos before I was chased out, first time here and definitely last time as well
As others have experienced, manger is very rude. As she yelled at her employee in the middle of the store she then proceeded to walk over a shuffle through my bag accusing me of stealing. Very off putting experience
Last week, my friend and I bought $200 lego. When we wanted to leave the store, a lady who looked like a manager or supervisor blocked our way. She asked to check our bags. Just because we paid and looked at the other toys. We gave her the receipt. She examined it carefully for about five minutes. I think this behavior is very impolite and discriminatory. I wear $1,000 shoes to steal $6 toys? Hopefully this lady will find the real thief one day.
