   Apparently the sushi here is one of the best in town, but I can’t judge as I didn’t try them. The staff were nice, the restaurant was clean and tidy, the view looked out to Symonds St and was relatively quiet when we went. I got the small Chicken Katsu curry, and the portion was just right for me. The curry tasted standard, with a bit of a kick that built up after a while. I appreciate that it had good chunks of potatoes, carrots and onions in the curry. The Katsu had a light crispy exterior and the meat wasn’t dry, however it lacked flavour if not dipped in the curry. The rice didn’t really look or taste like Japanese short grain, it was also slightly clumped together, can’t say it was my favourite. The presentation was also a bit boring. Overall the dish was ok and satisfied my hunger, but definitely not the best Katsu curry out there. Another thing I noticed was that the door slammed loudly when closed, not a huge problem but gave me a small fright the first time.

   A bit disappointed in their small portion of udon. Way smaller than a normal meal. In the whole container, there is only like 1/4 food and 3/4 soup. Can tell Each noodle being cut is so short.

   I don't usually write reviews, but i've had a lot of Chicken Katsu Donburi before, and this is the first time I've been disappointed. I paid $18 for Chicken, egg and rice. No salad, no greens, Nothing. Do not recommend!

   Worst Yaki Udon I’ve ever had. They made it like sugar is free. Everything is soaked is sugary sauce.

   Food was great. Spicy chicken and salmon donburi are must try. Udon soup was great and spicy chicken on the sides was tender and cooked to perfection.

   Was at a birthday party and they ordered Bian sushi! The rice was really really nice. Really enjoyed it! We finished it like it was nothing! Yum nom nom

   Teriyaki beef donburi here is awesome, as are the katsu curry donburi. Delicious sushi too. They also have the most tasty mayo onion and herb sauce I've ever tried - it's beside the self service wasabi/sauces. Free self-service green tea if you are dining in :)
