The guy at the counter (I assume the owner?) is rude and unhelpful. Two stars instead of one just because one of the shopping assistants was fortunately nice and polite
Staff were super friendly and hospitable both times I visited while staying in Wellington. Often discounts / sales going on and I purchased some great Merino thermals for the winter. Side note: the music in that place is always such a bop!
The customer service in this store is poor. The staff seem to have no interest in helping or even saying hello when you come in. Not a good look for the Icebreaker brand.
By far the largest selection of new Icebreaker product in the Wellington area and very well presented. Every time I go to the store, the staff are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Love this place!
Earlier when I purchased the product the staff was friendly but when I went back to replace the product the staff was really rude specially the lady store manager. She doubted me on my product issue that I did it intentionally and her spoken language and behavior hurted me emotionally. The junior staff was replacing my product but that lady asked her to stop and she asked me to contact icebreaker myself saying that they are just franchise store. Later when I asked them that I am new to this country don't know the customer service policies and asked them to do that for me also to put me in CC in email chains to icebreaker that lady never did that and emailed them 2days later and lied to icebreaker that I bought my product a month ago although I bought it 15days back I don't know why she did that. She was the most rude person I came across in New Zealand till date. Icebreaker itself is a wonderful brand, I like it's products they r good enough to keep you warm even in snow. I am just annoyed with Gordon's Outdoor staff at the time of any issue they are not helpful enough. You can buy Icebreaker products from any other stores in Wellington but not Gordon's Outdoor.
The merino hybrid stuff was good, couldn't reccomend the 100% merino though

Nice Icebreaker items. Has most recent Nothing on sale so went to outlet in Otaki which is about a 45 min drive from CBD Wellington. Easy drive. There's also a Kathmandu outlet there too.
Icebreaker gear is expensive, but worth it. It should last for years (although in recent years I feel the quality has slipped a little). This shop is their main outlet in Wellington, the city they started their business in and always has the latest range.
