   Terrible service - rude and dismissive staff - Korean man in his 40s with glasses at the counter 1pm Saturday 18 October 2025. Easily the worst customer service I’ve experienced anywhere. Never coming back.

   The veggie corner, it was terrible. I went to the buy some perilla leaves or just veggies if you dont know but, after bought, i looked inside to see that it was very poor quality (old). Never buying veggies from there EVER. Oh also ate 1 and left the rest in the garbage.

   Total rip off. Was looking for some soybeans, guy took out a bag of soybeans seemingly around 1kg and ask for $50. I double confirmed with the guy he indeed asked for $50 for a bag of soybeans not $15. He then claims the soybeans were “made in NZ” watch out if you don’t speak Korean or look Korean, he will rip you off whenever he has a chance.

   The staffs don’t know the availability of their products. I called in yesterday to confirm if they have the certain noodle that I was looking for and said yes. Came the next day and travelled for 30 minutes just to find out that it’s out of stock since last week. Wasted my time and money.

   Great little Korean grocery mart. Good variety of products/brands, has a butcher too, but don't expect anything as extensive as say Wang Mart in Wairau. Otherwise I highly recommend this H Mart for general shopping

   We buy our Korean products from H Mart, also the Korean style meats for bulgogi, barbecue, etc. and the homemade kimchi from the corner selling home grown Asian vegetables you won’t find elsewhere.
