Liz is a knowledgeable and approachable instructor who explains the activity and the reason for doing it with the dog. Our dog and us humans have benefitted hugely from the advice and skills gained in our 5 week course. I honestly believe all new dog owners should work through a course like this. It is very rewarding and enjoyable.

After doing a 5 week handling course for my professional development I am feeling so much more confident doing my day to day duties at work. Even with experience under my belt in other areas of the canine industry and personal experience I felt as though everything I was learning was a new tool moving forward! The clear communication and outline of all the necessities was excellent and extremely clear commitment to teaching across various presentations. I will definitely be doing some form of follow up for my personal gain and would 10/10 recommend to anyone looking for services provided!

Liz has been helping us train our puppy Hoagie for several months now, working through all the unique issues our challenging little dude has come up with for us. Her force-free techniques are effective and create a positive experience, which has saved my sanity more than once as we deal with an adolescent dog. Liz remains unflustered and unflummoxed by Hoagie's antics, and her coaching is helping us bring out Hoagie's potential. Her pupline service is especially useful - I highly recommend!

Liz is an excellent dog trainer. She’s also very responsive to any questions that I’ve had. We had to take our border collie, Oreo, for some private trainings with Liz due to reactivity and not listening to us. So we’ve started off with some obedience training. All the exercises we did was fun and engaging. After every sessions, she would even summarise what we have to work on at home so we were ready for the next session. Oreo has already made a lot of progress by becoming less reactive and more obedient. He has also been walking nicely on a loose lead which was a big problem for us before. We are definitely enjoying our walks more now.

Winston ( my blue heeler) and I have been going to Liz for one on one sessions for approx x 8 sessions and the improvement is incredible . We had been going to the local obedience club since he was 12 weeks old and we had done the basics, but the sessions were very group based and no individual issues or training was ever offered.. in fact I was told my handling was “shit”..so as Winston got close to 2 years old he was starting to become very lease reactive to other dogs when out walking, and thank god I found Liz, she has helped us both understand and learn techniques and skills to remedy this situation. Along with that Liz guides us each time to new challenges and keeps me wanting to learn more, she makes sure I have homework & I train at home so much more and we are seeing fantastic results. Liz has taught me that there is more to this dog training than just “sit” , “down” & “heel”… I am learning how to read & be pro active with any doggie situation, and I finish each session wanting to do more. Liz has given me faith that Winnie & I can do well together and We are going to try our hand at “Rally O” Thanks Liz.. see you again soon.

Can't recommend Liz at K9 Services NZ highly enough. Our family has worked with her for two very different dogs, and had successful outcomes for both. One young dog was reactive to other dogs, and also had environmental stressors. After one on one training sessions, he has improved enormously and I am now confident and able to take him on walks. Liz also provided really sound advice to my daughter on dog selection for first time owners, with a happy result. She attended a group class for basic training with Liz too. As well as individual training and group training, we have both also completed on-line Zoom classes. Liz offers practical, positive training programmes for dogs and their owners. She has a wealth of experience and is able to break sessions down to enable achievable goals and results. Definitely 5 stars from us!
