I have been under the care of this practice for around 8 years and it has been a consistently excellent experience. Dr Foster is superb and there is a wider team of doctors who are all thoughtful, kind and thorough. The nursing service is seamless - with Nurse Practitioners in addition to general nursing care. The administration staff are professional and courteous. Practice Plus online options are available, offering very good GP support when your regular doctor is away or booked. The overall experience is welcoming and highly efficient and, as a person who has had relatively high needs over the last few years, I appreciate the compassion and high standards of the whole team at the Terrace Medical Centre. It's an exemplar service in Wellington and I recommend it wholeheartedly.

I have been under the care of Dr. Brenda Gibson for over ten years, and I can confidently say that she is an exceptional doctor who truly cares about her patients. Dr Brenda Gibson is kind, patient, and professional. She has made a huge difference in my health and well-being. The office atmosphere is always warm and inviting, which makes every visit a pleasant experience, even when I'm not feeling my best. I am so grateful for the care I've received over the years and can’t recommend Dr. Brenda Gibson and their wonderful team enough. They make healthcare a positive experience, and I feel truly lucky to be in their care. Thank you Victoria

This is a fantastic practice, the front of house staff always go above and beyond to help me in times of need. The nurses are fantastic and empathetic and I have had good experiences with all of them. I have been lucky enough to have Dr Brenda Gibson as my GP who is brilliant and such a kind hearted GP I couldn’t ask for better care than this practice gives! Thank you to everyone, I can only hope I find a practice like this in the new town I am moving to :)

I’ve been going here for 20 years. Martin Harris is my Dr and what a great Dr he is. Cannot rate him high enough. I never have to wait long for an appointment. He is kind, thorough and a really nice down to earth guy.

I’ve been going to the Terrace Medical Centre for 15 years and Julian has been my doc. With an assortment of mental health issues it’s imperative I have a doctor that I feel comfortable with and reassured that they really listen and understand me, as communication can be difficult for me during episodes. I have multiple chronic pain conditions also, and Julian has been a godsend for me. He really cares and is kind and understanding alongside being thorough, highly professional and patient with me when I ramble through a list of issues. I tell everyone I’m so lucky I have the most awesome doctor. I have also always found the rest of staff to be professional, kind, knowledgeable and helpful, I’ve never had any issues and in particular I’d like to mention Laura from admin. She has been so lovely on some of my more stressful visits and has gone above and beyond to make sure I’m ok before I leave and that I feel comfortable that I understood everything. I absolutely recommend this clinic and I’m grateful for their services and support.

my usual doctor was booked up so had to have an appointment with Roger. he didn’t listen to us at all laughed at us and gave the same medication that we’ve already tried 3 times. told him it didn’t work. spent most of the time googling what to do. super painful experience and rlly insulting

Id like to amend my former review. Admin are LOVELY, it's the nurses that are awful. Unsurprisingly. I talked to a nurse who I think is also the second in charge, Robin Macandrew, she talked bout my medical debt. Embarassingly i had a bit, but had just started a new job and was so happy to pay it off the next day. I told her this and she said "But how do I know you'll do that?" 1) bad faith question. 2) there is no answer to this that isn't shame or guilt. I have anxiety, especially over the phone, my fight or flight kicked in. I usually choose flight but this time I inexplicably went for fight. I mentioned my mental health had been awful and she said "I know about mental health, I'm a nurse" to which i had no answer but to literally stand there on the phone, mouth open. If she "knew" about mental health she should have recognised my behaviour as being pre-panic attack. I was clearly going through mental distress. She should also know about "reactive abuse" but she might have to google that. . I realise that now. Talking to multiple nurse friends and not downplaying my reaction (which I was sorry for, but now not so much), they all have encouraged me to make a complaint. If you are able bodied, without mental illness and not part of a marginalised demographic this place is fine. Otherwise, turn the heck around. Also very weird there's no email option considering they think they're inclusive. What are people that go temporarily non verbal but need healthcare meant to do? HoH that haven't set up an app yet? Very weird

I have been dealing with the fallout of the disgusting way these people treat patients. I am completely unsurprised to learn of the strange and racist reference to immigrants on their website. The way they pat themselves on the back for their level of service is laughable. Whatever good medical staff do is completely cancelled by the inhumane and abusive conduct of admin. Real sadists

Have been enrolled in this practice for a while now after moving within Wellington. Dr Gibson is lovely and answered all my questions and concerns politely and well. Lovely nursing staff as well. Great location for those located in Wellington CBD.

Martin Harris has been our family doctor forever. He is everything we want in a doctor - thorough, quick to refer to specialists when necessary, approachable, sympathetic. When he's not available, the other doctors in the practice and the locums they use have been perfectly good alternatives (although I always prefer to see Martin, for continuity). The nurses are always great, too. It's not the cheapest medical centre - mid-city location, mid-city prices. But we've never considered switching.
