   I originally started learning at another school but made the switch to GlidePro, and I’m so glad I did! Bruno offers a truly premium service, with a focus on safety, skill progression, and giving each student the best opportunity to fly. Unlike other schools, he doesn’t require a minimum number of students for a session—if the conditions suit your ability, you get to fly. That level of dedication shows he genuinely cares about his students, not just making money. Bruno is incredibly generous with his time and always made me feel safe. He also provides access to the best paragliding gear available in the NZ market, ensuring students train and fly with top-quality equipment. Paragliding requires personal effort, especially extensive ground handling practice outside of school hours. Bruno is patient and supportive, but true success comes with dedication and practice. If you’re serious about learning and willing to put in the effort, GlidePro offers expert instruction with a personal touch that will help you progress safely and confidently. Bruno is also meticulous about ensuring students get the right equipment for their needs. As with any specialised gear, proper fit is essential, and if you have any concerns, he is always willing to work with you to find a solution.    OK teacher - he explains some stuff well such as wing packing. However I found that many times he did not explain the basics well, and he became frustrated when I did not quickly learn based on his directions. Still, he spent a fair amount of time with me. That said, after almost a month I had not flown once and switched schools. Also, I bought my gear there, and that was a mistake as the harness was too small, an expensive mistake as I had to trade it in at a location where I could try other harnesses on, and moved from the too small "medium" to an XL. Having too small a harness is not just a comfort issue, it is a safety issue. I did watch them give a tandem, and the participant was delighted so I can recommend them for a tandem. Summary: 1) mediocre teaching quality. 2) Equipment: unless you are positive about the sizing, strongly recommend buying somewhere you can try on the gear. 3) Tandem: recommended.

   I finished my PG2 with Bruno and it was great! Highly recommended! I started my PG2 with one of the big schools but changed to GlidePro. I learned way more and progressed way faster with Bruno. He spends lots of 1-on-1 time with his students and hits a good balance between instruction and giving you the freedom to think for yourself.

   Thank you Bruno for your time and patience. You taught me a lot. He will teach you the basic as much as very technical (theory and practice). I feel very lucky to have had this experience and now I am fully capable of flying solo. Bruno will follow up with you and advice you if still needed. Big bonus, he speaks 3 languages!
