   Always love my experiences at the taste Greece cafe and shop. The staff are super knowledgeable and friendly, and the products are the best of the Mediterranean.. on the days I’m missing Greece and craving a holiday, I go here instead to get a ‘taste’ of it. A literal little Greece right here in Auckland .. especially if you try the coffee and the authentic gyros! Delicious.

   After a month back in Europe - where things like Tapenade and Taramasalata - are available in nearly all supermarkets I googled the latter, without much hope. And found this fantastic place in Brown's Bay!! Load's of tastings going on, VERY helpful staff. They have just started baking their own bread, pita or olive. Bought the last olive one, which was still warm and STUFFED with olives. Recipes are available, advice is given if you need it, but you are not hounded. Their taramasalata is perfect - and I lived in Greece many years ago. As is their htipiti dip. Even if you don't live near make a day out of it (closed at weekends, so take the kids during the holidays!) and take a Greek picnic to the beach, or just take some home, impress the neighbours and gorge yourself - the olive bread alone is worth it!

   Χαιρετίσματα/Chairetismata - Greetings everybody This where I come to get my olive oil which I have daily in my food or from the spoon, because it keeps us young and healthy and the best olives and its oil is hellenic olive oil, given to us by Athena herself, so thankfully for tastegreece we have somewhere here in NZ to get our precious manna from the Gods. Emily is very friendly and engaging and helpful in the deli when we visit so we like to come back and buy in-store instead of ordering online. Thankyou tastegreece.co.nz . Five stars for you for being you (and for your, OUR, olive oil, which I recommend everybody take on a quotidian basis. This is why greeks live longer than everybody else).

   Exceptionally fast and friendly delivery. Tempting range of products. Surprisingly low priced--when the same products are stocked by speciality shops, etc., the mark-up is much higher. Delicious retsina -- presentation is a bit down-market, but the wine is really subtle. Iliad Olive Oil very pleasing to Homeric buffs.

   Great authentic Greek food. Love their olives and olive oils. Other Greek delicacies available too. When you have guests for dinner or afternoon tea and little time to get some food ready, get a spinach and feta pie - easy and quick to warm up and it's delicious. Nice little shop and staff. They also do amazing gift hampers.
