I have been coming here weekly for hydrotherapy and really think it’s a great pool. Clean and warm. Staff are friendly and helpful. No complaints at all about this place.

We visited this facility around 5:30pm on Wednesday 3rd December 2025 and I can’t speak more highly of the Duty Manager at the time (unfortunately I can’t remember her name). I was with a group of 16 Year 7 & 8 students and we simply turned up (after being told by two other pools that it wasn’t possible to swim there, but to try here). They were put on the spot, but were SO accommodating. She took the time to speak with me and again with the children. They had an absolute blast - especially as they could jump/dive/manu to their hearts content in the 2m deep recreation pool. I’m so glad the other pools dissuaded us from going to their facilities, otherwise we may have missed this absolute gem. Thank you so much!

Very friendly staffs and especially one of the receptionist with short hair, sorry can’t remember her name but she was very friendly, helpful, as I was wanting to purchase a goggle for my kids. Love her customer service 10/10

Just recently visited, normally I take my toddler son to the pool at Karori and was super disappointed by this one, it was incredibly dirty and gross. It wasn't busy either and there was lots of visible dirt in the toddler pool. Now hoping me and my son don't get sick.

It has a few different pools for different functions, national games are usually held in the large pool including water polo, kayak polo and so on. They also offer swim classes for kids and adults. There's a sauna and spa too. The baby pool is separated from the toddler and kids pool. Ample carpark at the back with a smaller carpark at the front entrance. It is located right next to the library.

I’ve only been here once (just to be clear, as I can’t comment to what it’s like usually). Firstly, parking is minimal - be warned! The main pool was pretty big, there was a ‘medium’ sized pool for families which looked worryingly like a shrimp soup - heavy on the shrimp (ie, very full of people). Then there’s a toddler pool which is pretty big compared to most pools. There’s another room with three spa pools, and a sauna. It’s suffocating in there and if you’re mildly claustrophobic- don’t even try. The spa pools are tiny rectangles. I’m not sure what the maximum capacity is for them but anything more than three gets pretty intimate. It looks like a pool that’s probably great for locals, great for water sports (like water volley ball - if that’s a thing, they cut the big pool in half). But it really isn’t for the ‘out of towners.’ The minimum parking, it’s out toward the airport and if you’re in rush hour traffic it’s an absolute nightmare to move around. There is a cafe on sight. I didn’t use it so can’t comment on pricing etc

In all the years of coming to the Aquatic Centre to the Hydro Motion classes and also the public sessions I have always found the reception staff very welcoming. As someone who has been in the 'front line' dealing with the public it is not always easy. Not once have I heard or seen any staff either lifeguards, club active staff or reception staff be rude or unwelcoming. I think they all do a great job.

I am surprised to hear that "the older lady" at Reception was rude. Obviously this person knows her as she mentioned "24 years of service, which would not be common knowledge to the general public." Everyone has a bad day occasionally but I have never heard her be rude to any customers. I have always found her friendly, and helpful and I know that she is well liked by a lot of us.

Lacks some features like wave pool or hydroslides but is very well patrolled, is really cheap so is great for taking your little ones there. Has 2 large pools for adults. Diving board etc and cafe. Not a bad place to spend a couple hours with the kids
