Such a contradictory review! The largest and tidiest stock available, a great emporium, an extensive selection of well organized fabrics and notions!!! Ruth gives great customer service, some of the others do not. Don't shop too long, you'll get a parking ticket!
You can find the smallest of knick knacks, art & craft, simple hardware that you need there. Extremely fun place to be. It is organised enough as a place without being too 'frilly'. Baskets/trolleys for customers available as it is a big warehouse place.
Went in to purchase a Cook Island flag priced at $10 great quality. Staff member was knowledgeable, the store has a vast range of products.
Tried to purchase some stuff in the fabric department and the price was marked wrong, it wasn’t by a lot but it was what made me choose the item. The lady said that’s the wrong price and they’re another price and that a customer had swapped the lids (felt slightly accusatory there), even though you’re supposed to take the containers to them to handle. I asked if she could honour that price and she rudely said no. I’ve worked in retail and always just honoured the price as it was misleading for customers. Perhaps she had a bad day, the lady at the main counter was lovely though :)
Pete's is always amazing, you never know what you're going to find. The prices are always reasonable and the staff friendly and helpful. Whenever I'm stuck I go to Pete's.
All we wanted were goodie bags for our movie night. The selection was outrageous and I had difficulty making a decision. The staff were really helpful and made great suggestions. Totally distracted by all the other sparkly stuff they have - be warned!
