Have been twice and both times have been excellent with attentive service. Jasmine is so lovely and I would absolutely recommend bringing friends over for a craft session. Very reasonably priced and lots of options to choose from.
If you’re ever in Petone, you should definitely stop here and make your own jewelry! It’s such a fun activity and there are countless beads and charms to choose from (and it’s really affordable). The two ladies working there are really kind and help you with anything!
Stopped in for fudge today. The maple walnut is an absolute must, it barely made the trip home.

I went to Village beads for the first time with my daughter. I was amazed with the artistic creativity behind the simple plain and aromatic beads you can put together on a string which not only enhances your looks but makes you feel better too. What a way to spend a day, my whole world has opened.
I had a necklace that needed repairing so sent an email to Village Beads asking if it was something they could help with. After a few prompt and friendly emails with Debbie, my husband took the necklace in to be repaired and they did it for him on the spot, and it cost us less than $5 - he spent more on the beautiful fudge than he did on the necklace repair! I am so happy with the level of customer service we received, both via email and in the store. Thank you so much for everything - the communication was so quick, friendly and helpful, the repair was efficient and inexpensive, and the fudge was incredibly delicious!
Village Beads is a great shop in the middle of Petone. There is a huge selection of materials for you to make your own jewellery and plenty of ready-made items to buy, too. The owner and staff are really helpful so you don’t need a lot of skill to make or repair your own jewellery.
