These are the best swimming classes available for pre-schoolers. The staff’s dedication is outstanding and we are continually impressed by how clean and professionally run the entire facility is. A huge thank you to the team for providing such a wonderful experience.
So far pretty good. The teachers are nice and patient. It must be hard to manage "little people". The place is very warm and clean. The ladies at the reception are super friendly.
Prime case study of how to chase away loyal customers. For an institution dealing with kids, there is zero tolerance, flexibility or understanding on management or service level. The stars go exclusively to the instructors. Kelly and Alex are wonderful with the kids and I would’ve loved to stay just for them. We started with Hilton Brown beginning of the year, then went abroad and returned in September. My kid was then 3.5 years old and I was wondering if she shouldn’t go a level higher but neither the instructor nor any other staff communicated this and when checking the progress on the website, she definitely didn’t do a number of things listed there under the current level (see screenshots). So I just left her there so she can tick off all these boxes. Then, beginning of November desk staff approached me to move her up without having learned everything yet. It was communicated to me that she would from now on go into the water on her own without me. As we planned on travelling mid of November I much preferred to leave her in the familiar environment and move her up after our trip as she needs time to feel comfortable with new people, plus we don’t know it would be the same instructor after coming back. But after some back and forth it looked like the staff and management are more interested in following their made-up rules than to accommodate for their students to feel comfortable even in this insignificant instance. I mean, it was 2 sessions which we already paid for. Well, given how they treat customers in such a way when it comes to minor things, I don’t want to wait and find out what happens when it’s major. Reading the bad reviews I wish I did it before going here! They didn’t even reply to me cancelling the lessons and not coming back, neither did they send a cancellation confirmation. They simply deactivated my online access so I can’t even change anything anymore.
My daughter has been to weekly classes with Aleks since she was three months old and we absolutely love her classes. Her energy and enthusiasm is infectious and she made us feel so comfortable from the very first class. She is always so reassuring and helpful when bub is learning new skills or we as parents need encouragement! Absolutely love her she deserves a raise! ❤️
Both of my kids (3 year old and 5 year old) were afraid of going into water, however they both look forward to seeing their swimming instructor Julian! He’s incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, encouraging, and patient with them. His enthusiasm and genuine caring nature makes it fun and that’s a huge for kids who were totally against going to the swimming lessons. Could not ask for a better instructor - in fact, my 5 year old has improved so quickly under his guidance that he’s moved to the next level in less than 3 months (this is HUGE considering he wouldn’t even get into the pool on his first lesson) and I am going to credit this to Julian’s skills! The ladies at the front desk are also amazing - always welcoming and always say hello when we come into the facility. Keep it up Hilton Brown Hobsonville!
What a great place to learn to swim, beautifully set up for parents/caregivers and grandparents, sit behind glass to watch and enjoy, or poolside. Swim staff are super enthusiastic:) changing pads and open showers poolside, plus private change rooms as well as a shared changing room. Beautiful venue!!
Great teachers, easy portal to use and book in make up sessions. Both our kids attend here, our 6 Year old since he was 3. And our 18 month old since she was 6 months. Water is always warm and clean and there are great baby changing facilities and a family change room. The best swimming classes we have been to!
Our kids swimming abilities have noticeably improved since moving to Hilton Brown. It is a bit more expensive than other classes that we have used but the quality of the instructors and the skills the kids are picking up are worth it and they enjoy coming.
We recently visited this place 4 times (once per week Saturday morning 10.30AM to 11:00) and found it to be okay overall. However, I would like to suggest to the management that teachers should pay equal attention to all kids, especially beginners and those who find it difficult to learn and those who are not comfortable with water. By doing so, they can help all children have a positive experience and build their confidence in the water.
This is one of the best swimming facilities I have been to in Auckland. Super friendly and helpful staff, always cheerful and welcoming. I was able to achieve a lifelong personal goal here, and finally actually learn to swim with the help of some very patient swim instructors, very pleased with myself :). Gets a bit busy after 3pm, and the showers are a bit too hot. But overall 10/10. Thank you Hilton Brown Swimming, and especially the tireless Aless - you are a superstar.
