   I initially approached Lyfords for help in transferring my UK pension to NZ. Lucy was awesome to work with. She understood, what is a really complex process, inside out and took all the stress out of it for me. When my funds arrived Lucy passed me on to Richard for a conversation about my retirement plans after I had asked for some advice. Richard was instantly likeable, easy to talk to and had a way of explaining things in very simple terms - which is what I needed, having no understanding of financial planning and investments etc. For example, I thought putting 10% of my salary into a KiwiSaver and forgetting about it was all I needed to do! Richard explained other ways of doing things that I had never even thought of. Consequently I have completely entrusted him to handle planning for my retirement. He has never been pushy with his advice and has endless patience answering all my questions in a way that I understand. When I received a 62 page document of our conversation I must admit I thought I would never get through it!! But in reality it was easy to read, very comprehensive and explained everything easily, not bogged down in financial jargon. I am only a few years off retirement and I am so glad I have Richard on board to help me maximise what I can achieve in the next few years. I will, though, be gifting a consultation with Richard to my 30 year old daughter for her birthday because it’s probably the most valuable and long lasting gift I can give her to set her on the right path now for her retirement. I am so glad I came across Lucy and Richard, who have both been outstanding in their knowledge and service they provide, but they are also extremely nice people.
