   My partner and I worked with Katherine Mexted at Wellington Convex Legal between Jun - Jul 2024. We needed a lawyer for our a First Home Buy process and we went with Convex Legal Wellington as they were the first to come back with a quote. I will be honest and would say I do not recommend to go with this team, If you need a Lawyer and a Team who really cares and not just for the money or doesn’t give you more stress with your First Home Buy I would not recommend. Katherine Mexted didn’t even meet us in person as she would book us last minute meetings with her colleagues instead. One example of the many unnecessary stress from Katherine Mexted was when my own colleague at work who owns 4 houses asked me (on Thursday the week before settlement day) if our Laywer had booked a meeting to go over the papers before the week of settlement day - (Settlement day was on Wed Jul 31st) and I said no she hasn’t, so when I called Katherine on my lunch break that same day Thursday, Katherine seemed to not care and even suggested a time to have a meeting a DAY before settlement day to go over the papers but when I told her no I would like to get it sorted way before to avoid any delays, Katherine Mexted then changed her mind saying yes that might actually be a bad idea incase something goes wrong with the bank. In my mind why would you suggest that in the first place if you knew it wouldn’t be a good idea? Luckily I had said no. I know it may not be a big thing but as a first home buy couple we really didn’t know what we were doing and everything was new to us. My partner and I were lucky we were able to take the next day off work to attend the meeting. There were many other things that put unnecessary stress on our First Home Buy process from Katherine Mexted at Convex Legal. The reviews seems to be good which made us think it was actually going to be allgood but unfortunately it wasn’t as we had to keep following up to get an answer…unless we just got unlucky getting Katherine Mexted from the team to “help” us out which is quite sad to let the team down. I was not going to do a review at all however I don’t want anyone else to have the same experience as what we had to go through.

   Amazing! Would recommend to everyone wanting to buy or sell a house. Sam and Natalie provided excellent and clear communication throughout the conveyancing process. And the pre-purchase advice from Sam was incredibly useful and clearly explained the details of our complex cross-leased property in a way we could easily understand.

   Had an awesome experience dealing with Katherine and McKenzie at Convex Legal. Right from the beginning they were extremely easy to deal with. My partner and I used them for purchasing our first home. We were provided with an upfront fee which was perfect considering the amount of things you need to budget for when purchasing your first home. They made the whole process extremely simple and approached it in such a way that I personally learnt a lot from the experience. All queries were addressed in an extremely timely manner and the team was hands down lovely to deal with. Highly recommend.
