Visited this pharmacy immediately after being discharged from the hospital with four prescribed medications. I was initially told there would be a 10 to 15-minute wait. I ended up waiting nearly 50 minutes. After this long delay, I was informed that only two of my medications were available and the other two would need to be collected the next day due to a pending order. When I returned the following day, one of the remaining prescriptions, a painkiller, had been substituted with an over-the-counter alternative. This was not discussed with me, and I could have purchased this OTC option from any pharmacy the day before without the extended wait and inconvenience. The lack of communication, significant delay, and substitution without proper consultation are unacceptable. This experience was frustrating and concerning, and I hope improvements are made.

I had no idea that a bad pharmacy could exist and unfortunately here I learned that it can. Came in on five separate occasions for prescriptions and all five times the service is diabolical. Not even basic manners at the counter, if they actually acknowledge that you’re there then you just get stared at. It’s so painfully awkward that I’ve asked my doctor to send my script elsewhere. Avoid.

Unfortunately, I have had a terrible experience with this pharmacy on so many different occasions at this point. I called to arrange a repeat medication be ordered in but was told it was no longer active and I needed a new one. I arranged a new one but it was the wrong quantity, so I arranged a 2nd script from my doctor: Thu 11 July - new script is sent to pharmacy Wed 17 July - pharmacy tells me the new script was placed on hold, I have to order use the old ones first. Explained the old one is incorrect quantity. Pharmacy advises new medication will be ordered and arrive that afternoon. I confirm that I can collect on Friday. Late Fri 19 July - attend pharmacy who tells me there is a 'stock issue.' When the lovely retail assistant asks someone at the back of pharmacy when I can expect the medication, the lady at the back raised her voice at the retail assistant and said 'I don't know, I'm doing the best I can!' So I left with no apology and no information. The lovely retail worker said she will urgently call me as I told her I need this medication on Sunday. Sat 20 July 10.30am - call for an update. Told there's no orders arriving today. Tell them I urgently require it for Sunday. Pharmacy said they would ring around other pharmacies and get back to us urgently (they close at 2pm and are not open on Sunday). 12.30pm - no contact, call them back. Am told that I just have to wait until Monday, it should be there on Monday. I don't think the medication was even ordered. This is the second ordeal I've had with this pharmacy: 19 April In person at pharmacy I request an 8 week supply of my medication for overseas travel. I am advised it will arrive on 22 April. 26 April I go to collect the medication and am told there's a 'stock issue' and it should arrive on 29 April. I emailed querying if this was accurate as otherwise I had to make other urgent arrangements due to travelling. I was emailed back on Fri 26 April stating it was arriving that afternoon and I could collect at my convenience. This tells me the order hadn't even been placed and was only placed on 26 April when I attended in person (orders usually arrive same day or the next day if the order is place later in the day). On top of this, when I attended on the afternoon of 26 April, after being told I could collect at my convenience it, still wasn't ready. There was a 3rd separate incident earlier this year where I picked up my script, didn't check it, came home and the pharmacy had incorrectly provided me a two week supply instead of a month, and I had to call and go back to the pharmacy. There was also a 4th incident where I requested a repeat, and they told me a 15 minute wait. When I came back they hadn't even started it - they forgot my order. So had to start and wait again. This pharmacy is so unreliable. Now I will have to contact my overworked doctor and waste their time asking for a new script to be sent to another pharmacy as the relationship with this pharmacy has completely broken and I can't trust they will order my medicine when they say they will and I have wasted so much time going back and forth due to their errors. Update: Mon 22 July 2024 Duncan (maybe the manager or head pharmacist) called me and was lovely, had my medication delivered to me Monday afternoon and told he was looking into my complaint. 7 weeks later, no further response about the complaint, not surprised at this point. All of this doesn't include the time I was given someone else's medication with the other person's name and address details on the label.

She did not have the product I was after, so she convinced me to buy another band she said would have the same effect. It was useless, a waste of money.

Terrible service and dismissive staff who didnt know how to do their job. 40 minute wait and didn't get what I came for in the end. In comparison, I was in and out of Life Pharmacy in 15 minutes with everything I needed when I went there afterwards. Save your time and emotional energy and hop down to Queensgate instead.

This is only the third negative review I have ever felt warranted making. But necessary for the pharmacist in question to address both her customer service skills and decision making processes regarding the dispensing of pharmacist only antihistamines. Her approach was a combination of dismissive, rude, diminishing, made far too quickly without all the information and not customer centric focused. Her immediate go to was "No". Who I do give 5 stars to, is the pharmacy manager, Duncan and his response to my complaint via phone. He was warm, reasonable, solutions focused, apologetic and open to feedback regarding the situation. Due to personal circumstances, that was my only chance that week to get help with the antihistamine that works for me. Both upsetting and unnecessary stress. I sincerely hope this provides a valuable learning experience for the pharmacist in question.

Really disappointed. Called my Dr first thing this morning to organise an urgent prescription, I arrived here after work to be told that I would need to come back tomorrow because they didn’t have my prescription ready and they were closing soon. This was horrifying as I explained that I would probably struggle to make it through the night without my medication. They asked me to call my Doctor and have them confirm that they sent it through, which they assured me they had, but sent it through again. When I finally received my prescription, I started to drive away only to realise they had given me the wrong persons medicine. I’m not a Karen, nor someone who complains, but this is the 3rd time that this has happened with these guys. It’s completely unprofessional. What if I hadn’t turned around and given you back that persons medicine? Would they be told the same thing? It’s a disappointing experience, the service was blunt and rude and the efficiency is below par. Medical practices should be doing better, for somewhere that raves about their quality service and reviews, I think they really need to step up there game, when I was struggling to breathe and waiting for my prescription, I was just asked to wait until tomorrow as it β€œwasn’t urgent.” Lack of care is honestly shocking here.
