Most unfortunate experience-my daughter was spoken to rudely by assistant in perfume section for spraying the perfume on herself. It’s fine that apparently this is only to be sprayed on the card but it was the delivery of the message in the rude abrupt fashion. The assistant then went on to say it was bad for everyone’s lungs unless it was sprayed on the card. We felt very embarrassed it was cringeworthy. I get that the mist can be inhaled but l suspect that it can still be inhaled when spraying it on the card.

"Extremely Disappointing and Prejudiced Experience"
My partner, mother, and I visited Life Pharmacy Queensgate today after having a great experience on Friday with the new store layout and perfume testers. Unfortunately, today’s visit was the complete opposite.
From the moment we entered, staff hovered over us without offering any basic customer service—not a single “Can I help you find something?” Instead, we were stared at, followed, and made to feel blatantly unwelcome. The behaviour escalated to the point that two female staff members were openly watching my partner—1 even peering around aisle end like a hyena watching its pray, then standing uncomfortably close, and tracking his every move. It was aggressive, distracting, and deeply uncomfortable to witness.
It became very clear that he was being racially profiled. Out of roughly eight customers in the perfume aisle—seven Pākehā or Asian, and one Māori—the only person under intense surveillance was the Māori man. My partner immediately felt it too and no longer wished to purchase anything.
When we addressed the behaviour on our way out, one staff member walked right up to us, screwed up her face, and defensively snapped, “We have so much shoplifting here, what am I supposed to do?” Professionalism was non-existent.
If theft is such an issue, the solution is better systems—not staff stalking customers based on racial bias. The conduct today was unacceptable, unprofessional, and frankly racist. This store urgently needs training on customer service, cultural competency, and how to prevent theft without treating innocent customers like criminals.
We will not be returning and completed our purchase with Farmers, where the customer service was exceptional."

Went in store today to find a new perfume. Store was well presented etc
While I was browsing the perfumes and argument between staff had begun and I thought it would be shut down very quickly but no an older male member of staff continued to argue and belittle 2 of the younger women. I was appalled at the way he was speaking down to them in front of customers. Telling them customers were complaining about their area and telling them to grow up etc. I overheard another young female staff member say to her co working I'm staying away from that. I ended up making no purchase and leaving the store. From what I observed I would describe this man as a bully in the workplace no one should be spoken to like that at work and especially not in front of customers.

Disgusted and disappointed with the experience my son and his partner had in this store today. They’re both 18 years old — my son is Māori with a tattoo and a solid build, and his partner is a white female. As they browsed, two female staff members stood nearby and watched them closely the whole time, even though they had no bags or reason for suspicion.
They still made their purchase, but both left feeling judged, uncomfortable, and profiled because of how they look. It’s unacceptable for young people to be made to feel this way. Everyone deserves to shop without being treated like they’re doing something wrong.

Got to the counter at the front of the line this morning (nobody was there) staff proceeded to ignore me and serve 5 people before getting to me. Mentioned it to the lady and she blamed it on me not “lining up correctly” when nobody was in the line? I expect a response an explanation, your staff ignores their paying customers then blames it on them.

Very very disappointing, lucky that I checked before opening and applying.
They should have double check it.

I was in here with my 18mth old who was sitting in her stroller while I tested a product- keeping herself occupied with a tissue from the counter when a horrendously rude women supposedly ‘serving’ grabbed it off her and removed the box my little one got so upset and we promptly left- I will not be back this women clearly has no understanding of accommodating people shopping with children.

I like this pharmacy as it’s in the mall so it’s open until 9 on Thursdays which is super convenient. The staff are really efficient, helpful and friendly. More often than not, they have stuff that other pharmacies don’t and also a wide range of makeup and perfumes that are out of stock in other stores. Have collected most of my meds from this pharmacy and never had any issues and also receive text msg notifications that my script is ready for pick up. Nice work team!
