   Arrived in NZ yesterday and was scammed by one of the drivers. UBER said it would be $40 for the 40 minute journey to Howick. We chose to take a taxi instead (not a big fan of uber) and after ten minutes going the wrong direction (he was ignoring the maps that we could see too) the meter was already at $70 with 30 minutes to go. We asked why it was so expensive compared to uber and he said it was just the way the meter was and that was that. We then asked to get out as it was going to be well over $200. He left us out in Ponsoby which really showed he was going in the completely wrong direction. As a first impression for NZ it wasn’t great and when we called him out on it he didn’t seem to care which must mean this is the norms for western cabs. We won’t be taking another cabs that isn’t an Uber for the rest of our trip.

   Shocking service. Asked the price to get from location A to B, ( not stating where); was told the price was $15.00. Then when he heard we were paying by eftpos the price went upto $20.00. At destination, the price was now $22.50. Then the eftpos machine wasn't working properly. I found some cash inside to pay for the cab and when I got back to pay driver, the GF was upset because the driver had a go at her for breaking the eftpos machine. Its NOT her fault the machine wasn't working properly and the driver didn't know how to use it.

   Got a cab with western cabs( ratish) went local with a return trip home.The meter was $11.90 I gave him $20 he gave my change as $5 I said I gave you 20 and he said I already gave you change I said but you paying me short.i then left the car.and made a complaint to police and then advised him of that.he then went on to say ill pay you tomorrow. It wasn't good enough for me. Futher complaint was made.he then within 20mins came back to my address and payed my remaining balance he further went on to say to come in front of the camera to show I have know payed your money. Our advice is not to pay these people cash.

   Driver of vehicle QUF457 nearly caused a crash on the western motorway today (0900, 18th DEC 2024). They merged right into me, if I hadn't slammed on on the brakes we would have made contact.

   Don’t use this cab driver. . Driver has no idea how to merge nearly caused a crash and refused to yield to merge. Driving with one hand on the wheel and 1 behind the seat. Honestly would not trust your life with this driver

   Worst service ever, rang 2hrs in adance for a taxi for 4 for a dinner, no issues with the booking. 2hrs later waiting for collection and was rang to say no taxis avaliable. Night ruined thanks for nothing Western Cabs. Welcome Uber

   Called and booked a taxi as early as 9am for pickup 2:55pm. Driver called 3:33 pm. Totally disgusted with this company. Used another taxi.
