   Nothing about this company is "saver". We had the worst experience with one of the drivers who was completely unfit to drive. We took one of these taxis from the airport, a drive that according to their website is around $51 was over $84. A complete joke. The driver exhibited reckless behavior, including speeding well over the limit - over 110 km/h in a 100 km/h zone and 65 km/h in a 50 km/h zone - this was nothing compared to his behaviour: he was frequently distracted while driving, at one point, he suddenly swerved across lanes on the motorway after realising he was in the wrong one, making a sharp turn without even checking properly. A few minutes later, he veered dangerously close to the curb while speeding on the motorway. This person could kill someone driving like that, this is serious and, even though, I have emailed these people twice, no one has addressed the issue. Very rude, and quite frankly, the worst experience in a taxi we've had in Auckland. Do not hire them. Do not take them from anywhere, there are other much better options.

   Awful awful experience. I was picked up outside of provedor bar at 1 am. I was originally waiting for an uber but one of the drivers yelled out and said he could give me a ride so I jumped in as you do and watched as the counter just went up and up and up. It was a 14km ride to the hotel I was staying at. Upon arrival I was charged $162.36 being drunk I didn’t really think about it and paid. This is unbelievable that they can get away with this scamming I am beyond pissed off and will be contacting the commerce commission and police over this as I feel as though my somewhat drunk state and need to get to the hotel quick was taken advantage of. This driver needs to be stood down. It defies belief.

   I wish there was an option to give zero stars, as I think this would be the most appropriate rating for this taxi service. I caught a taxi at 5am yesterday morning from the Britomart Hotel to Auckland Airport and the fare was over $200! The trip took less than 30 minutes as there was no traffic at that time of the day. I will never use a taxi while I am in Auckland ever again and will only use Uber from now on.

   Charged $125 from airport to Auckland city - should be around $62 - avoid at all costs. My faith in humanity has been restored by Carol from cheap cabs team. She took the time to listen to my complaint and took decisive action to offer my a refund. Customer Service is almost non existent these days however credit where credit is due. Hats off to Carol for removing a rather unpleasant experience for us first time visitors to New Zealand.

   This taxi company charged me $80 for 12 km journey. Beware… They are anything but cheap. Well, the car was cheap and smelly, so maybe that’s it. Slightly different name on the top of the cab, but the phone number is definitely this company..

   Great experience with Cheap Cabs. We booked a taxi for 415am on a Saturday morning to get an early international flight. Not only did they arrive early, but Brett the driver emailed me the day before to confirm his arrival. The price was much better than comparitive taxi companies and Brett was just a really nice guy. Would definitely use again thanks!

   Booked 3 separate cabs for our stay in Auckland to get us to and from the airport as well as our concert. Drivers made contact well before pick up and all arrived on time. I definitely recommend booking days ahead if you have a schedule as in the past we have found last minute bookings to be declined. Also booking will get you a quote that saves more than a metered trip. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because as the drivers are responsible for the cabs, some are not so clean and tidy including our last car which had lingering urine smell. Was not pleasant after a late night out.

   SCAM!! booked days in advance to take us to train station for Wellington trip. NEVER SHOWED UP! everyone else under these reviews has had the same or similar experience. It’s not just false advertisement, it’s a scam overall. Whoever runs this business needs to be arrested, they cannot get away with this. Guaranteed you will miss your flight/train/event etc if you book with these people. Disgusting.

   Our driver James (cheap cap number 113) was on time, texted me his plate number and waited for us outside terminal, our flight was delayed. The car was old but clean and tidy, driver was very polite and knows his way around Auckland. However his driving style was less satisfying, last minute turn and switch to other lanes, occasionally looking at and writing on his note pad. Could've given a better feedback if he was a safer driver. You get what you paid for. Airport to Auckland cbd $38 they only take cash, eftpos and credit card cost $4 extra.
