Never use this company - they are unreliable even when booking a day in advance. They never have eftpos even when we ask for it. They really act as if they do not want the business - so we will never use them again. And we wanted to support local. Bust this local business didn’t want to support local customers
Affordable Taxis seems to be one of the very few low cost cab services still operating in Auckland, as many have closed down. My call was answered promptly by a friendly operator and taxi arrived within estimated timeframe given (15 - 20 minutes). The driver's name was "Junior" who is awesome, friendly and a safe driver. I've never used "Uber" and as a female, need to know I'm safe with a reputable taxi company. I cannot fault (customer service is brilliant) and I highly recommend.
Was ABIT hard to get a driver but once I did he was awesome
Booked a van at a great price and the driver was so lovely about it all. Then it went downhill. We were charged more because the driver drove off after not being able to make contact with us. There was no attempt to find the address properly, he arrived half an hour before asked to, then drove off after stating he could not see anyone. Only texted me to advise, but never made an attempt to ring and sounded annoyed with me on the phone. I reluctantly paid the extra so that my family could check in to the airport on time to make a recovery flight home.
Just had the best taxi driver come and collect a lost gentleman trying to get to the hospital from our business - JLT was his rego. Thank you for looking after the elderly gentleman today band dropping him off at the hospital.
Driver was super rude. Dropped me of on the side of the road instead of my driveway. I asked if he could go up my driveway as it has a bit of a hill. He said no walk even after mentioning im pregnant. Only accepted cash, I gave him a 50 note and goes this is to much for my $15 ride and complained about it. Absolutely disgusting behaviour! AI DONT RECOMMEND
Use this company at your peril. Despite booking a mobility taxi days in advance and being confirmed twice, the taxi never showed. It was needed for an essential doctor's appointment. Phoned them twice on the day and asked when the taxi would turn up and was assured it would arrive. Five minutes before the doctor's appointment I phoned back only to be told the taxi had broken down and they were sending a car instead which was unsuitable for a wheelchair! Ended up cancelling the doctor's appointment which was vital as a flu vaccine was needed for a geriatric. I took a day off and lost pay over this dreadful unprofessional company. When I asked why we hadn't been phoned and alerted about the alleged breakdown was told they didn't have our contact phone numbers. This is the first company I've heard of which doesn't record phone numbers against their bookings. We were waiting 45 minutes on a cold winter's day and the wheelchair bound patient was in the cold. Awful experience. We now think this patient has gone on to develop the flu.
