Terrible service. Turned up for our appointment to the business locked and empty. Couldn't get hold of anyone. When I rang the next morning the receptionist said she'd get the manager to call me and I've heard nothing since. Traveled 45 minutes and had to find a babysitter for this appointment.

Poor service. We traveled for one and half hours to go to our appointment, and it was pouring with rain. I rang to ask 'if we were late would we still be able to be seen?' and we were told that the doctor said yes, IF we were there within 10 mins late of our time. We walked in the door at exactly the 10 minutes time, after running in the street to get there. ( Had to park 3 streets away). Then told no, you are late the doctor is seeing someone another patient. We could not wait for another appointment that was over another hour away, because we had to travel back the one and half hours back home to work. Absolutely disgusting that I was never telephoned back by the manager when I asked to be so. I asked for the manager to ring me the next day, when I telephoned to apologize to the FOH ladies about how I shouted at them about not being able to be seen. I was so angry about the decision made by the doctor. I'll never step back in there. Honestly, don't be 10 seconds late due to factors not in your control, or you're wasting your time.

I had my first appointment at the Skin Institute around January this year, where I was prescribed topical medication to manage my acne. I noticed little improvement so in March I requested a follow-up appointment and was scheduled for late June. This appointment was canceled by the clinic. Since then, I have sent two emails and spoken with someone on the phone to reschedule. However, as of mid July, I have not received any updates about a new appointment. The lack of communication and follow-through is incredibly frustrating. I have been patient and understanding, waiting since March for another appointment. The poor customer service and inability to provide follow-up care have led to a significant waste of my time and delayed my treatment progress. If I had known it would take this long to get a follow-up, I would have sought help from another dermatologist months ago. This experience has been extremely disappointing.

First time for a full skin check. Saw Dr O'Connor who patiently explained what she was going to do and what she was looking at, even called in another Dr for second option, which is reassuring and a good reason to use a specialist clinic. Had a couple of spots come up and I could see a Dr here sooner than I could see my own Dr and found a few to keep an eye on I wasn't even aware of myself and wouldn't have asked about if it wasn't for a full body check. Everyone was nice and friendly and made for a pleasant visit.

Very bad communication. My partner booked a free spot check a few months ago, he's currently on parental leave as we have a 1 week old son so he booked a free appointment today, then they decided to change the free appointment to a $59 appointment by just sending an email that got lost into my partner's mail box. I work in retail and normally you should honor the "free" part of it especially as he booked only for this reason. Then they only sent him a text rather than calling him to let him know that the nurse had a family emergency today and my partner travelled all the way from Kapiti, fuel is expensive at the moment and we have a baby so this is really frustrating that this has been such an inconvenience knowing he would have prefered to spend this money on something else than useless fuel and especially the whole morning he has lost bonding with our baby while he is on leave, he only has 2 weeks so this time is more precious than anything. So definitely don't recommend unless they do some kind of gesture to apologize for the inconvenience.

I am really happy with this place. Reception team is super friendly, especially a young man who is absolutely awesome. Huge thank you to Dr Claire Jackson and Valerie Linneweever. Still feel a bit uncomfortable because of fears I had, but with this amasing team everything went very well. Thank you very much

I got the Microdermabrasion done for my face a few times here and it’s so far the best microdermabrasion service I’ve had compared to other places! I book in with Jess from Skin Institute Wellington for my sessions and she is a very informative person + she does such an amazing job. I feel the difference every time I get it done and she has been helpful in recommending specific products which are suitable for my skin condition. She is also super friendly & nice which makes the whole experience a very relaxing and comfortable one!

I have now had 2 laser treatments with Irene at the Wellington clinic and have been impressed not just with the results but with Irene’s care, professionalism and warmth. She’s an exceptionally skilled therapist and her recommendations for treatment have really given me wonderful results. But more than that, she takes the time to really understand you and your hopes for your skin as well as provide skilled advice and manage expectations. She has a wonderful approach to treatment, making you feel comfortable and confident in her ability and completely at ease. She gently explains what is happening at each step, regularly checking in and always eager to know if you have any questions or concerns. It’s refreshing! And her personality is just the icing on the cake – she’s a delight to spend time with and you I walk away feeling better about my skin as well as feeling I’ve spent time with someone that cares about my wellbeing. There is nothing ‘transnational’ about my appointments. She’s warm and professional and I have absolute trust in her. Well done SI- Wellington and Irene!
