A smaller wool's but staff are kind and helpful. Had all the things I needed. Has parking on main street and heaps out back.
This store needs to open more checkouts when they get busy. Two full checkouts on a packed Saturday afternoon and a self service queue with over a dozen customers waiting is pathetic. Up your game Woolworths!!
Absolutely pathetic service. Was refused a non alcoholic beverage which was kept in the alcohol section due to my wife not having an ID yet I did. Mind you we are both in our 30s and look way older than 25. When asked to speak to the manager she was completely unhelpful and looked uninterested in dealing with or assisting with anything. I then went to woolworths in Newtown with my wife to purchase the same item and wasn't even asked for an ID. This is the worst woolworths I have been to in terms of service the general unwillingness to help is downright shocking
Always buy my greens from here because I sure do love slug sandwiches
The $45 "fillet" steak packs on special last week were an absolute disgrace. The steak was as tough as leather. This is supposed to be fillet steak, a good quality cut of meat .. To be honest, I don't even think it was fillet steak.. My brother bought the same "fillet steak" pack for $44 and it was the same rubbish. I will never shop at woolworths again. Crooks trying to pass off rubbish meat as fillet steak.
Every time I go I have to make sure I am not overcharged at the counter. Every. Single. Time. They don't respect the prices they put up and then you have to go and confirm it for them.
Always well staffed with friendly faces. Online shopping has good subs for unavailable products (a rare issue), clearance sections are better than any other supermarket I've found in Wellington Region! Store always looks clean and is comfortable.
I usually go later in the evening because I'm easily overstimulated in busy supermarket environments. Not sure if it's because I look feral with no makeup and sweat pants on but the Indian looking allied security lady watches me like a hawk! Im followed around the store as she paces up and down the end of aisles. Also the blonde lady often on the self checkouts, shes usually quite friendly but can be patronising. She also watches me like a hawk when I'm putting through produce. It's as if her pay is docked when people are dishonest about their produce!!! (Which I am not). Ridiculous. And shooing me out of the store 10 minutes before closing - she came to the end of the aisle and physically signalled for me to leave. If I were to come in after work in corporate attire I would be treated differently which makes me sick.
A large Countdown Store that now needs a spruce up with huge competition from the close by Paknsave. The staff are helpful and customer focussed
Went in there tonight for my first time in almost 4 years. Friendly staff good service, they seem a lot cheaper then in prices than Newtown countdown. Only problem with this store I ask one of staff members were there GF section is and they said they donβt have one.
