Used to have a nice straight line, even undercut until I went here. I asked if the guy working could trim it and he said yes so I sat down. I started to noticed long hairs coming out of my bun and asked to see in the mirror and he said no it's fine, kept going. I had to force him to stop and point out what was happening. After finally getting him to hand me the mirror I realized just how bad it was and questioned him, I made him stop and got up and said "I'm not happy". He then started gaslighting me saying "this place is for men, not for women, go somewhere for women" which was totally uncalled for since I asked if he could do it, he could have said no... Then he started shouting "give me money". Honestly unbelievable, walked out and found somewhere to try to fix this (where the photo was taken) but not without losing a good bit of hair density. 0/10 would not recommend
This is by far the best barber in Welly. The care and effort he takes is 10/10. I'm always happy with the results and I'm quite fussy. Highly recommended
Aryams Barbers Shop is a special place. Highly recommend, took his time and takes pride in his work. Even got a warm towel. An oasis from the hustle and bustle of Courtenay Place.
We never actually went here for a haircut. We were just trying to get our kids lunch when our oldest decided to have a meltdown outside their shop. One of the guys came out with tissues and a snack, which calmed my kid right down and we managed to make it to get food without much more fuss. If I was a guy, living a bit closer than we do, I'd definitely go there. If this is how they treat non customers, they have got to treat their actual customers amazingly!
This place is amazing! I got my hair cut by Mickey and it was hands down the best haircut I’ve ever had, she knew exactly what she was doing and had great banter to match. I wish I lived in Wellington so I could get my hair cut by her again.
