I visited Mane salon recently as i just moved to wellington. I had a consult with Megan who was lovely and we discussed my hair wants and needs, I had a wash cut and blow wave and will be back on two weeks for a complimentry style. Ive also booked in for a colour for a couple of months time - Which im really looking forward two. Im very happy with my hair cut, although nothing drastic megan did a great job giving my hair a lovely trim and refresh. Looking forward to my upcoming visits.

I was looking for a change, nothing too drastic, however, a colour change, and some sound advice. I hadn't been enjoying my current haircut and decided I wanted to transition to grey. I reached out to Mane and provided them with some background information and my thoughts. They responded quickly and booked me for a consult and a tentative booking with Megan. I was impressed during the consultation; Megan listened and made suggestions. I had my appointment, and I'm super happy with the cut and the change of colour. I am starting my journey to grey, and I am feeling very confident with Megan taking me on that gradual journey.
The team at Mane Salon are fantastic, super friendly, professional and they clearly know their stuff. Hollie does a great job with cutting and colouring my hair; I went from dark brown to a lighter brown, which has proved tricky to get right at previous salons I've been to, but Hollie nails it. She gives great advice and is super accommodating if you want to switch things up. Highly recommend!
I arrived at my appointment 20 mins early (my choice), paid parking for 1.5 hr (seems reasonable). Was seen 25 minutes after my actual appointment time. Cut took well over an hour - many distractions. I spent over 2 hours at the salon for a basic cut and blow-dry (inc wash. Lots of sitting and waiting). Paid $178 for the cut (was advised of price before hair wash). Gained a parking ticket. Home late that evening for young family. Felt frustrated and disappointed with myself for days after.
Absolutely awesome place to get your hair cut! I had a men's haircut done from long to medium length. Excellent customer service & really friendly staff. Molly was my stylist & she was awesome & had the mad skills. Cheers Molly! Definitely recommend & will be going back for my next cut 10/10
I had such an amazing haircut with one of the trainees, Bianca the other week! She was extremely thorough and took the time to go through exactly what I wanted to achieve and super attentive. Honestly one of the best haircuts I’ve had in years, really couldn’t recommend enough, thanks so much!
I've also enjoyed getting my hair styled here. It feels like a creative process where both I and the stylist get to share our ideas. The service is also amazing. I've had some pretty significant changes made to my hair at Mane, and I always felt comfortable and in safe hands
I had a 2hr basic bob haircut by a trainee for cheap (i think $40?). But wow, even though it took ages, and was very basic, looking back (~1year ago), I’ve got to say it was one of the best haircuts I’ve had. Now that I’ve had a few more haircuts in between, i really appreciate how precise the trainee was. She made sure it was cut really evenly, nothing jutting out after a wash, it looked good on any hair parting. Did not look bad when growing out too. I realise now, other haircuts I’ve had have not been that precise even by some lady who said she got a 40k hair training qualification. They also washed and styled my hair for the $40. I would go again
