Seriously Great coffee, some of the best I've had in NZ. Served at the right temperature too. If you like a very hot coffee you may want to ask for that specifically. Staff were friendly and smiling the whole time. Cinnamon apple donut was very nice too. Well worth a stop by.
The staff are always so friendly and welcoming. Their coffee is seriously good, some of the best I've had. I go pretty regularly, and they already know my order which is awesome. I haven't tried the food yet, but it always looks so tempting. Definitely recommend checking this place out!
I was really looking forward to trying this place after reading all the glowing reviews, but I ended up being quite disappointed. I ordered two regular flat whites this morning, and they were lukewarm and had no crema at all. I've attached a photo. Maybe it was just an off day. I'll give it another shot in a few weeks and update my review if the coffee improves.

Great spot, lovely staff and the coffee is great. Absolutely LOVE the cheese and jalapeΓ±o scones (toasted, with butter of course). Best cafe in town.

A little coffee shop tucked away, Local Authority lives up to its name. From friendly staff, to vibrant coffee, and delicious food, I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a new spot to check out.
Come for the coffee - come back for the coffee. Love it. Flat white was perfect, excellent extraction and flavour profile, clearly made by someone who knows what they are doing and loves doing it. Not to be missed.
