   WAY too busy most of the time, the meat and vegetables aren’t as fresh as countdown or new world. The bakery in this store is great and better than most Paknsaves. If you’re looking for meat and vegetables, I wouldn’t recommend. But the bakery has a large variety.

   Massive grocery store! The selection of meats and sea food is incredible! Walking in is almost overwhelming with the size of it, but the isles are wide enough not to bump into people. The prices are very low, comparing not only to other supermarkets, but even other paknsave store in Albany. If you’re in the area, stop by and stock up.

The store itself is pretty big, with wide aisles and a straightforward layout that makes it easy to get around, even when it’s crowded. It can get hectic during peak hours, especially weekends, but the flow of people usually moves okay once you’re inside. Stock levels are generally solid across the board, and you’ll find most things you need without too much hassle. Pricing is the main win here. If you’re shopping on a budget or doing a big weekly haul, Wairau Road is a good choice. Specials pop up across all departments and there’s a wide range of low-cost options. The produce section can vary a bit in freshness depending on the time of day or week you go, but there’s usually enough decent stuff to get by. The meat section has a good selection at competitive prices, and the bakery covers all the basics. Staff are around if you need them, though like most Pak’nSaves, it’s more of a self-serve environment. You won’t get a lot of personal service unless you ask, but if you do, someone will usually help out without much fuss. Checkouts can get backed up during rush hours, but they tend to keep enough lanes open and the self-service area helps ease the pressure for small shops. Parking is where it can get a bit tricky. The carpark’s not the worst, but it does get full quickly, and navigating in and out isn’t always smooth. If you go outside the busiest times, it’s a lot easier.    Everyone knows the story behind opening of this store. It was a struggle of 20 years to get this going since there were roadblocks. There is even a timeline displayed at the entrance. The store is huge with huge selection of grocery items. My personal favourite is the breakfast section with plenty of variety of hot breakfast. Bakery is also great. I liked the blueberry scones. Something different. The staff is super friendly and helpful. There is a calming effect when I visit this place specifically in the morning. Plenty of parking available all around. Always love to visit here.

   Unfortunately, pak n save never have enough Value brand bread or burger buns.. shelves USUALLY ALWAYS empty after 5pm... Not all working shoppers are able to shop before 5pm, but allowance should be made for ALL hours,, There are usually PLENTY of all the other brands of bread available till 10pm,, why can't pak n save computer stock control, organize stock better ?

   Paknsave is a racist monopoly run in New Zealand , white trash store , with pacific islander security guards that need to be put in prison … rubbish island store .. zero stars .. new zealand is a disgrace for any modern shopper to visit … these idiots are from the 60s or 70s.. stick man black advert.. you call the cops and NOT the pacific islanders doing a s*** job when you see a thug holding you up at pak’nsave .. awful awful awful trash store .. manager is a joke , security guard threatened to beat me up, manager hires pacific islanders security guards staff “intercede group”, they are all racists mofos

   Our one-stop shop for every day groceries. Great selections, good isle design and management, and reasonable prices. The red meat and chicken section is not of good quality though. We had to throw out some of the meet we bought there in several occasions. Now we buy everything from there except red and white meat, and we’re all happy!

   One of the cheaper Pak n Save we’ve been too. Has a great range of products, doesn’t have as much Asian food as I would like but now that there’s an Asian supermarket next door, it’s alright. They always have special deals, often attracting large crowds.
