   I come here almost every morning before work, and the morning staff are always friendly and do a great job. However, my experience in the evenings has been disappointing. Today, I spent nearly an hour looking for a kitchen knife. I asked the lady at the counter, but she wasn’t sure and asked another staff member, who told me to check aisles 8 and 9. I searched there for over 30 minutes but couldn’t find any. When I asked another staff member (Kim) for help, she told me she was busy and asked me to look for it myself — which was quite shocking. When I went to pay for my shopping, I asked the same staff member from earlier to check again, and he finally looked it up on the computer and told me the knives were out of stock. This kind of negligence and lack of customer service in the evenings is unacceptable, especially when compared to the excellent service in the mornings. I hope management addresses this issue so the evening staff can match the professionalism of the morning team.

   One of the early Countdown stores, nicely situated in the Northcote shopping centre area. Parking are part of the shopping centre. Pricing are typical Countdown. Interior has been modernised and now it feel refreshing. Staff members are helpful, and variety are quite good.

   It's our local, but it's the worst Countdown I've been to lately, certainly on the shore and most of the rest of Auckland. Think they must be waiting for the Northcote development to renovate. Tired, run down inside. Old decor. Not dirty, though, and had all the basics.

   As a diabetic, I can generally rely on Countdown to supply all of my grocery requirements. I appreciate that I am able to locate everything in one store. I have also noticed how friendly and helpful the staff are, making shopping a pleasurable experience. Thank you.
