   I visited this Countdown in the evening and was very disappointed with the service. At most other Woolworths stores, the staff are usually happy to help if a customer forgets their Rewards card. However, at this store, the woman working at the self-checkout area showed a very arrogant attitude and was openly dismissive. It’s understandable if she could not provide assistance, and I respect that everyone can have a difficult shift. But there is no excuse for treating customers disrespectfully. Basic courtesy should always come first. I hope the management will address this, as customer service should reflect respect and professionalism at all times.

   Worst experience from one of your team members, a lady said to me are you a customer or a rat? Really!! This is how you treat your customers? I think, I wear a $1000 outfit and speak politely. Please train that lady staff more and tell her, this is 2025 “stop racism.”

   This Woolworths is fairly nice, it meets your everyday needs but it’s fairly smaller than other Woolworths, so the stock and choices here might feel a little underwhelming. If you’re after simple stuff like bread or meat, I think everything here is a bit more fresh than Paknsave or dairies. The atmosphere is usually very quiet and doesn’t get too busy, the parking lot isn’t usually filled up more than half even in peak hours (4-5PM). Caution: No, there isn’t a bathroom! There’s a park right across the street with one.

   Easy to access from two busy roads. Def a lower socio-economic area but to me, that’s part of its charm. Carpark is large but has potholes, small spaces and light parking lines and makes the place look sadder than it should. Businesses need to improve the overall look of the place, esp in carpark. You can avoid a drunk or two looking for a handout with the volume of shoppers. Staff also tell them to move on so no problems really. There are donation bins in the corner of the carpark so that’s convenient too. Lost a star coz the prices are higher than they need to be for the area. Split visits with Mairangi Bay and Takapuna, depending on specials or availability of products.

   Obviously living in Auckland means access to many count downs, I found this branch a bit smaller and with limited type of products. I often have to go elsewhere to find what I want. Otherwise everything else is great, nice, organised, clean and super handy and never too busy
