   I’m not usually someone who writes reviews, but I felt I had to share the wonderful experience I had at the Jay Jays store in Porirua. I usually shop at Jay Jays in Rotorua or Auckland, but every June, I travel down to spend time with my daughter who lives here. During my recent visit, I had such a positive experience that I couldn’t let it go unacknowledged. I was assisted by a lovely staff member I think it was Sha. I don’t recall her name, but I do remember she mentioned she was Sri Lankan. She was absolutely wonderful. Her approach to customer service was outstandingly genuine, patient, and attentive. She didn’t hesitate to climb the ladder multiple times just to help me find what I was looking for. Her focus was clearly on making sure I had a great shopping experience, and it showed. What stood out the most was how thoughtful she was. She opened a larger fitting room for me, which had a chair inside, and kindly encouraged me to take my time and relax. That small gesture made such a difference , it showed care and attentiveness that’s so rare these days. I’ve been to this store during a previous visit, and to be honest, I wasn’t impressed back then. But I returned during Christmas 2024, and I remember that same young lady helping my grandkids with some Hello Kitty items. Her kindness and ability to truly listen reminded me that great customer service is about more than just transactions, it’s about creating a welcoming and comfortable environment. Jay Jays Porirua has really stepped up. My daughter, who shops here more often, mentioned how much the store has improved and how well-trained and polite the staff have become. I couldn’t agree more. It’s clear that the team is doing something right. Kudos to the staff and management at Jay Jays Porirua you’ve made a loyal customer out of me. Keep up the great work!

   This place has the nicest staff, I felt so comfortable browsing. They were super helpful without being pushy, which I appreciate. The store itself was laid out okay, nothing special. They had a ton of clothes though, so much to look at! It's worth checking out if you're looking for something new. I'll be back for sure. Maybe they could work on the store layout a bit though.

   Outstanding and beyond expectation is how I would describe the service I get every time from Shaf! She is amazing!!! Her service is of the highest standard, nothing is too much trouble. Shaf is warm, welcoming, friendly and super helpful. Her knowledge of the clothing and accessories that are in store is fantastic and she gives great advice when you need help making your purchases. Danny also has excellent customer service and is friendly and helpful. Thank you Shaf for making shopping at jayjays so much fun!

   My sister and I went in to JayJays as a last resort, having been to every clothing store in Porirua mall looking for something suitable to wear to a funeral that day. Lizzie was the only staff member in any clothing store to ask if we needed a hand, she was the only person to help us, providing us with options that would be suitable. Lizzie really helped us out where no other stores staff approached us. I can't recommend her service highly enough.
