I hadn’t eaten from here for years and we didn’t rate it years ago. But I think they have new owners and thought we would try again. It was great! Really nice Hawaiian and cheese pizza and chips. Will definitely be back, and very affordable
I have visited Pizza Hut Upper Hutt many times, and almost every time I have experienced unprofessional and rude behavior from the staff, especially when it comes to dealing with delivery drivers. Whenever a delivery person goes to pick up an order, the staff often ignore them, even if there are no customers at the counter. If a delivery driver tries to speak with them, they simply don’t respond. When I raised this issue with the staff, they replied that they don’t ask for the delivery number until the order is ready. But if they don’t ask for the number, how will they know which order belongs to which driver, or whether the order is ready or not? I am not sure if this is Pizza Hut’s official policy or just the staff’s own practice, but the approach of not updating delivery drivers until the order is ready is extremely unhelpful. In other restaurants in Upper Hutt and Lower Hutt, the staff always ask for the delivery number and inform drivers whether the order is ready or how long it will take. This helps the process run smoothly. Unfortunately, the staff at Pizza Hut Upper Hutt do not follow this practice, and instead they ignore delivery drivers—even if they have been waiting for a long time—while continuing to attend to other customers. I am not sure whether this is the behavior of the staff or management, but the service towards delivery drivers at this branch is very poor and needs improvement.
The pizzas were absolutely delicious, with a perfect balance of toppings and a fantastic crust. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, and the restaurant has a really nice atmosphere. I have been coming here for the past few months and it’s absolutely worthy. I recommend everyone in upper hutt to try this pizza hutt for any kind of pizzas. Mouth watering, slice after slice.
Got pizza hut tonight and it was delicious usually go to dominos but wanted to try pizza hut again alot better now with new management pizza was hot and tasty with more toppings and abit cheap then dominos
The pizza here is always so good. They do my favourite pizza for a great price and it always tastes consistently delicious. But, the service and atmosphere is always so bad at the Upper Hutt pizza hut. I feel sorry for people who don't order online, there's never anyone at the till. And even when someone does come to the till they act like it's their first day on the job. Good piz Bad customer service
I tried calling before hand to place my order, no one answered my numerous calls and when I arrived it took about 15 minutes to get my order taken, it appeared there was only 1 person working who just focused on making the pizza and ignored waiting customers. I wanted to leave earlier but it was a treat for my son who really wanted "Pizza Hut" pizza. Will definitely stick to Domino's or Hell's for our next pizza.
Happily take your money yet fail to deliver the pizzas! Placed an order, received a confirmation email for delivery 1 hour later. 3 hours later no pizza no contact. Staff would not answer the phone. Drove to the store, not busy. Asked for a refund, staff said cant give a refund as theres no manager on site. Yet another customer instore said, "they refunded a customer a few minutes ago" Staff lie and steal your money. Will be going to commerce commission.
A long time since I have had Pizza Hut 'Pizza'. Obviously strong competition has forced them to improve meat quantity, taste and more cheese. This Pizza was an improvement over my last one. The customer service was also very good.
