   after looking at the excellent reviews this store has, i am extremely disappointed, upset and angry with the customer service i have received here, from the woman who owns this store Annabel. i don’t know how the store prides on being friendly let alone the best shoe shop in west auckland. if you have an issue with your order here, do not expect an easy, hassle-free, kind service, because you will be let down like i was. i purchased a pair of doc marten shoes online, and even spent over $150 to get free shipping. she called me to tell me that doc sizing ran a bit larger (which i knew) and the shoe size she wears in docs- what she did not tell me was the sizing displayed on the website was in UK not US (which wasn’t informed on the website at all). so when i received the shoes, it wasn’t just “a bit bigger”, it was an entirely different shoe conversion. i called and was met with blaming on my end for not listening to her. for that reason alone she refused to refund me the cost of shipment on their end - and because i had free shipping, that meant cutting out of the cost i paid for the shoes. i shipped the shoes back at my own expense. the shoes had been delivered for 4 days before i got my refund even though i was told the refund would sent on the 2nd day. i received my refund which was $15 less that what i paid - for the shipping cost she refused to return to me. even though the shipping cost when you go to buy the shoes is $9. called again about this and was continuously blamed again, for ignoring her uninformative phone call where she never once said it was the UK size. -calling me persistent and adamant as if i don’t know my own US size. i lost $30. she never apologised, admitted to her mistake or the criticism, was not empathetic, or understanding at all, didn’t even listen to what i was saying and overall very rude towards me. it’s clear that the customer is not a priority at this store. this is genuinely the worst service i have ever received from any store, never coming back here and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

   I love this shop. They have a really good selection of quality shoes at great prices. Good school shoes options as well. It's an independent shop carrying several well-known brands but also plenty of options you can't get in regular chain stores. Also excellent customer service experience.
