   Such a firm favourite for so many years. Shame to see it this way. Was filthy inside which never bodes well for somewhere serving food. Was given a slice of rotten lemon on what used to be my favourite - the sheikh salad. Sort it out management team!

   I feel sad saying this but if I could give a zero I would. I have left it a few days just in case I got a reply. I have ordered on and off at Fatima’s in Ponsonby for years, I used to live in summer st, so it was super close. I ordered online on Friday and saw that they did delivery, rather than going through a third party. So I ordered a meal for that evening, as a treat for my son and I, end of the school holidays and some other things. Anyway at the end, I must have accidentally pressed pick up rather than delivery. So I tried calling and emailing every email and ph number I could find, for them, on and off for 3 hours and they all went straight to answer ph or emails not answered. All I wanted to say, could I pay to get it delivered as I couldn’t pick it up. I was hoping, that when I wasn’t there to pick up my order they may call me to ask me why I didn’t pick up it up, so then I could explain but no, absolutely nothing. So, I’ve paid over $62 for absolutely nothing! I know I mucked up but I’m completely saddened it couldn’t have gotten worked out.

   We randomly popped in after some errands in Ponsonby. It used to be a regular haunt of ours, but havent been for ages. I had the Classic with falafal, and added some halloumi to it - delish! Tasti, sans bread, filling and a healthy portion. We also shared potato bites. Lovely team, friendly, and service with a smile - thank you!

   Good quality Execution is ok - I had a falafel vegan pita - lacked depth of flavour and balance. All one note cumin - plus the tomato relish is WAY too sweet and heavy handed. The amazing thing about this place is the quality of the experience - I watched as the manager guided staff in maintaining consistency and quality in the product while themselves attending to service and cleanliness - amazing management!!! The experience is also built into the amenities… things often overlooked by rivals are so plentiful here and I appreciate it so much!!! Free water, as many napkins as you need (cause it’s a messy, hand held business), table service, pints on tap, real plants, bathrooms and sauces on the table. Really well run. The only thing I think lacking is communication of wifi password if there is one (“friends of Fatima’s?) - I will be back.

   This place has absolutely amazing food. The staff were very efficient and the manager, Max, did an amazing job of catering to everyone’s needs and was very efficient with getting my food out quick. 100% recommend this place, amazing food quality, service and the place was very clean. Must try the lamb chawarma

   I WOULD HAVE NOT RATED YOU EVEN 1 STAR. FIRSTLY, YOU ARE USING A NAME THAT IS SO PURE AND RESPECTED. THEN YOU ARE MISLEADING YOUR CUSTOMERS BY USING THE WORD "HALAL". YOU ARE SELLING BACON AND ALCOHOL ON YOUR PREMISES. I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND ANY TYPE OF MIDDLE-EASTERN PLACE TO ANYONE, ESPECIALLY THOSE LOOKING FOR HALAL FOOD BECAUSE PEOPLE FROM THESE PLACES EAT PORK. PLEASE, TO ALL THOSE WHO THINK ALL THE PLACES WITH "HALAL " WRITTEN ON THE PREMISES ARE HALAL, CHECK THE MENU BEFORE PLACING ORDER.

   I ordered tabbouleh and a falafel pita, and I must say that the tabbouleh was incredibly delicious. However, I was a bit disappointed by the portion size, as it seemed smaller than I had anticipated. Unfortunately, the falafels in the pita were overcooked and ended up being burned, making them inedible. Despite this unfortunate experience, I wanted to mention that I really enjoyed the hot sauce.

   I live a couple of minutes walk from Fatima’s in Ponsonby. I love the food but the service is dreadful - food often sits on the side while they forget to call your name and you take food home cold. You’re advised to pick up in20 minutes but the reality is usually double what you’re told. I don’t normally complain but this has been the same now four times in a row. What a massive shame - it doesn’t take much to look after your customers.
